Thanks ! I didn't get an answer from work. all that is a photo posted in the "definition of beetles", whether we are waiting for it to dry. It is so dark and there is. Those photos that I saw-there chinense is brighter, lighter. This dark one is very. The pits are golden.

Please help us to identify Carabus
in Khakassia, Kuznetsk Alatau, Ivanovo Lakes region. July 2019.

1. Similar to C. (Megodontus) obovatus Fischer von Waldheim, 1828. Probably a nominative. Obovatus taizhensis Obydov, 2006 was described by D. Obydov from the southern part of the Kuznetsk Alatau (Taizhe-Su River valley, near the Khakass border).

2. Male-similar to C. (Eucarabus) arvensis Herbst, 1784. Probably ssp. conciliator Fischer von Waldheim, 1822. About the female-a strange little animal, maybe it's a different species.

3. Something from the" dark " group odoratus-mestsherjakovi.

Something like that...

Thank you, Alexander!
Yes, female #2 is different from the male. It was the fact that we were trapped together that got us down.
Female No. 3 was caught in a single specimen.

Here are more colorful carabuses from Kamchatka. Identified as C. arvensis. Apparently correct. What's the subspecies?

I would also like to clarify the following situation with Architects. I have in my collection C. polychrous rousianus Gotland, 1985 and C. rousianus Gotland, 1985 ssp. svetlana Solodovnikov, 2014. All from Gadautsky district of Abkhazia. Misunderstandings confused.gif.

Well, like ssp. conciliator.
ssp. kamtschaticus Motschoulsky, 1846 reduced to a synonym.

Yes, there are no misunderstandings. Now, as it were, C. polychrous and C. rousianus are considered as independent species, with all the ensuing consequences. Therefore, if this is important for you, you can attach an additional definitive label to polychrous.

C. (Archiplectes) rousianus rousianus Gottwald, 1985 fig. 24-28
C. (Archiplectes) rousianus svetlanae I. Solodovnikov, 2015 fig. 15-23

and then there are a lot of typos in the years and in the authors and in the names

Hello! Please help with defining up to a subspecies. This pair of beetles is caught in the Jewish Autonomous Region of hr. Big Chocks of July 2020

13.11.2020 11:29, I D

Good afternoon, colleagues.
Help me figure out the beetles - all caught in the Novosibirsk region.
I identified them as Carabus regalis, but they are confused by such strong variations in color: the "classic" regalis has a brozn color of the elytra.

That's all, regalis, no doubt. This species has many color forms, from anthracite (very rare), to bright pink, green, and blue. Combinations of colors of the main background and edging with pronotum are also different.

In this photo, beetles collected in Novosibirsk at one point at one time.
