Good afternoon. I want to know the names of these mosquitoes. Found only 2-3 times in an apartment in Zheleznovodsk. They appear very late - from late October to mid-November. At least twice as large as an ordinary one.

This midge lives in the ground, in pots with flowers...It is harmful, like the larvae feed on the roots of flowers.

Almost certainly Sciaridae. In addition to potted plants, there may be different mold in wet places, somewhere under the bathroom, etc.
