Where did the photos go?

I also hesitate to ask the forum members-how long will it be impossible to attach photos in the usual way?

13.05.2020 21:12, ИНО

You can ask the Editorsmile.gif, but I had something else in mind: ktyr's photos were deleted from a third-party resource. I wanted to compare it to check the definition, but I couldn't.

no, the muscida type is Helina or Phaonia, the faonias in prin-icp are more cautious, and "some kind of helina" in the south is common from spring.

I looked at the inaturalist. There are similarities, but there are also differences. On some resources
, Clairvillia biguttata looks completely different, for example:
https://jessica-joachim.com/insectes/dipteres/__trashed/
But Clairvillia pninae Kugler, 1971
https://www.biodiversidadvirtual.org/insect...-img526947.html
What Do you Think?
My fly has a similar color, but the black stripe in the middle does not divide the orange belly in half. so I remain in doubt for now.

that's where KrisRaper could give you the penultimate word, except for the last one from Siegers on diptera-info. but, damn, people clap some macroids and other Yandex photos))
I'm not an expert on tachinids, but pninae comes from Iberia - a completely different aspect of faunas, you need to know where the species is found. if you don't know how to distinguish keys, you can also catch them and torture them.

Hello. Do you have any opinions on the definition of these samples?! I understand that the quality is not the same, tell me where to look (genera, subspecies)

Hello. Yesterday I went out of town on a small river. All around is the land beaten out by cows. A wall of reeds. In the late afternoon, mosquitoes began to attack the shore. In addition to the" usual " Culex pipiens, there were some long-legged orange-chested bloodsuckers. Please tell me the names.

23.05.2020 11:04, Андреас

Please tell me - these are different types, aren't they? Dates in names. Taken from me on KMV.

23.05.2020 16:44, ИНО

Apparently, so. The second is some kind of pollination, we have a lot of them in early spring. I don't remember seeing the first one.

the first muscina is also one of the earliest on the platbands in spring, the second is full-grown, different superfamilies.

Hello.
I need the help of specialists in identifying the insect.
This insect bit me at night. At night, I didn't wake up from the pain of bites, about 4-6 bites. Consequences: swelling, swelling, burning, redness.
I would have thought it was a gadfly , but I didn't wake up from the pain bite, there are no visible signs of a skin puncture, and it's too small.
Date: June 11, 2020 (the average temperature of the last week is 18-22 degrees, above normal)
Location: Chukotka Autonomous Region, Anadyr (but it may have been delivered with fresh vegetables/fruits)
Length: 11-14mm
Thank you

This is a babbling fly, it doesn't bite. Gadflies do not bite and do not feed, because there is nothing (the oral organs are underdeveloped), horseflies bite. Flies, even horseflies, do not fly at night (in the dark) and, accordingly, do not bite.
Look for other sources: mosquitoes or bed beetles.

Similar to Ctenophora ornata, but I doubt it. But the advantage is the variability and dissimilarity to others.

Good afternoon. On Sunday, at his KMV, in the Yutsa River (the water is icy, and the heat around the forest bed of the river is terrifying), he met a previously unseen fly from the family of green flies (Dolichopodidae). They were scurrying at the water's edge. I've seen mating courtship, almost like a fruit fly. The length is about a centimeter.

Greetings to all!

Such a battered buzz. Caught in the Tyumen region, ~3 km outside the city limits.

I think it's a female Bombylius ambustus, but who knows?
