Butterfly perched on the flautist's nose during international flute competition

Community and ForumBlogButterfly perched on the flautist's nose during international flute competition

Japanese flautist Youkie Ota of the Odense Symphony Orchestra, Denmark, was honoured with a... butterfly that perched right upon the flautist's nose during an international flute competition. Pierre Sancan genuine fan?

The butterfly fluttered around seeking a better seat and eventually took the best one in the very front row, on the flautist's nose.

Nevertheless, Ota didn't look any disturbed and went on her play as a true professional carrying it through to the end.

Having finished, Youkie Ota just gently brushed the butterfly aside and smiled.
