В абстракте сказано: "A moderately reliable but previously ignored difference between M. villosus and M. castanipes can be pointed out: in M. castanipes the prosternal peg, in lateral view, is often more strongly deflexed than in M. víllosus", что в переводе означает следующее: "I would like to point out a fairly reliable, but not yet taken into account, feature that distinguishes M. villosus from M. castanipes: in M. castanipes, the prothorax process, when viewed from the side, is often more strongly bent downwards than in M. villosus".
Unfortunately, having only 1 specimen, I simply have nothing to compare the angle of entry of the anterior thoracic process into the mid-thoracic fossa with. I'll write Melanotus cf. villosus.
