In short, deza!clean water. And you, Comrade.BABOCHKALOV, direct road to satento.com .Find out everything there. And the book is really good!

19.12.2007 18:36, AntSkr

I didn't find out how much the book costs... What about taxonomy and texts? In general, the scans make a good impression. (Even in Russian!!!, which surprised me).

19.12.2007 20:48, Бабочник

I didn't understand about "deza"... I have a proven infa.
The first volume costs 140 euros - 30 euros cheaper than before. The second volume is about to be released. The book is really unique, when I looked through it, I got out of date. There, by the way, Parnassius davydovi (!!!), described by Churkin in 2006, is mentioned for the first time.
And you can really read about the authors at www.satento.com

The second volume is ready, but will not be released until August 08. et info from the author.it's a bit weak with subspecies.and so all very much!!!

19.12.2007 20:55, AntSkr

And delivery from Kyrgyzstan?
"info from the author.with subspecies too weak"
that is, there are not enough subspecies or some are not?

They also organize expeditions there...

19.12.2007 22:21, Бабочник

With subspecies, somersaults in general are not uncommon among taxonomists. So this is a moot point.
Expeditions are organized, yes. A German friend of mine went, for example. And his friends, too. Even to Tajikistan.
Delivery by mail from Kyrgyzstan. It is easier for authors to write and ask. The site has Toropov's address.

Et ironbutt, again.contact the author.easy and simple.I took mine here.in Moscow.and why even to Tajikistan?don't make waves!on the French site created material from Afghanistan.this is a yes!and it's nice and warm!

20.12.2007 19:33, Andry Shaposhnikov

Can I buy this book in Moscow?

20.12.2007 19:48, AntSkr

The site has scans of only three families (Papilionidae, Pieridae, and Satyridae). It just says that 2 more parts will be released, but the first part is in two volumes. Is 140 Euros for 2 volumes or 1?

And you can try to go to Tajikistan and catch butterflies. It's not that simple. They can also put you in jail for this or kick you out. As one Tajik academic (for some reason an ornithologist) said, we will catch our own butterflies, and the Russians have no place here. Although they do not have their own normal entomologists in Tajikistan, in my opinion (they probably have ornithologists who will study butterflieslol.gif). Chauvinism, in short, of some sort.
Although in Afghanistan, I do not dispute, it is more terrible - they can shoot you accidentally, in between cases. Al-Qaeda catches butterflies there wink.gif lol.gif

21.12.2007 11:56, Ironbutt

Yes, I was there, and more than once.I'm telling you-warm and cute!and times were much more hectic!

25.12.2007 19:04, Бабочник

Nice and warm, the bazaar is dumb... Current for some reason shob did not drip for the roof with a brow, you have to pay 500 bach. And even then, you know, 100% guarantees-just like the bazaar. Ono zhezh can go without that, I do not argue... My friend here goes, still alive.
And, of course, a fervent thank you to Kaabak for situevina...
Yes-140 euriks-for the 1st volume. It's easier to write to the author himself...

25.12.2007 19:25, AntSkr

It turns out that the second volume is released only by August 2008? They intended to release the second part by this time, as it is written on the website...

25.12.2007 21:50, Ironbutt

to AntSkr - in this case, volume 2=parts 2.

25.12.2007 22:04, AntSkr

And the names are different, but the families are not all:
1. The butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) of Dzhungar, Tien Shan, Alai and Eastern Pamirs
2. The butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) of Turan, Tarbagatai, Saur and Southern Altai
3. The butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) of Hissar, Darvaz and Western Pamirs

And the existing first part is without nymphalids and pigeons. And each part should consist of 2 volumes (as written on the site).

The present book "The butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) of Dzhungar, Tien Shan, Alai and Eastern Pamirs" includes 295 essays about diurnal butterfly species registered in this area. The book consists of two volumes. The first volume is devoted to the families of Papilionidae, Pieridae and Satyridae. It also includes an acknowledgements, alphabetical index for butterfly taxa (genera, species and subspecies), reference list and presentations of the authors. The second volume will present the families of Nymphalidae, Libytheidae, Riodinidae and Lycaenidae.

Always impressed by the people "Running ahead of the locomotive"!yes, we are talking finally only about " Butterflies of Dzhungar, Tien Shan, etc."! and everything else is global plans, God forbid feasible!!!and all this muddied incognito, even in addition to the name of the topic did not bother to drop th to what! ... to Babochkolov-yes, what $ 500?to whom?for what?yes, if you want, and on Red Square, the sergeant will "breed you on lava".M do not need to move to such a distance to say goodbye to blood! lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif

I created the theme, just when I posted it, the site got a good glitch, and it glitched for another 2 days after. Sobsna and the topic on the site appeared a few days after it was sent. In the subject, all information was given, including the release date of the book. In general, I was surprised how people understood what they were talking about - what kind of uniga they were talking about (namely, The butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea, by the way) of Dzhungar, Tien Shan, Alai and Eastern Pamirs").So sho with conclusions ahead of the locomotive someone else is walking (we will not point fingers ; -)).
I repeat, the simplest thing is to write to Toropov, and many questions will disappear like autumn leaves. Address on www.satento.com

30.12.2007 13:32, Бабочник

Yes, you will find$ 500 - the amount that is paid for a Euro tour in Tajikistan. You are slightly confusing a one-time trip with annual commercial tours. In terms of guarantees, reliability and continuity, in the context of business continuation prospects. I hope this simple is clear.
