Good afternoon!

By chance, I came across a message from Sergey Novikov from Livejournal on the Internet.
Photo report on how to make an ent. a box with your own hands.
It turns out very good and inexpensive!

900 rubles for a box of 30*40 with your own hands is a bit much. Although in Moscow, of course, prices are high. While living in Kazan, I made myself boxes of 60*40, which cost me 400 rubles each. [170 rubles - a simple custom-made baguette box with a height of 4 cm with nailed fiberboard (60*40 on the outer perimeter)
170 rubles - standard frame with glass (60 * 40 on the inner perimeter).
60 rub - polyurethane foam 40*60 cm.]

how do you think 35x25x4 will not be small?
by the way, what is the best way to make it out of and how(min.price=choir quality)?and can the glass be replaced with plexiglass?

and can the glass be replaced with plexiglass?

I don't recommend it: everything will get scratched over time. And the optical properties are not the same. Better than glass, people have not yet come up with the material for these purposes. Master the glass cutter.
