Interesting reviews.

Package of 100 pcs. we give it away for a review for free.
Packing of 500 pcs. we give you 270 rubles for a review.

No review — when placing an order before the end of the year:
100 pcs. - 140 rubles / pack.
500 pcs. — 490 rubles/pack.

Good people, scientific/educational organizations, and when buying a large amount — extra. discounts.

Photos will be posted tomorrow.
UP: Photos posted (see posts below).

You can place an order for a review or not in Naturalist (if you are paying for a review, please indicate your nickname on molbiol in the note).
It is advisable to leave a review on the store's website, but if you can't do it lazily, then you can send it by mail or phone.

UP: A small FAQ on future plans:
After testing the existing pins, the following tasks are planned:
— Other numbers
-Options with a curved hook (which does not cling to clothes, etc.)

There are no plans to do the following in the foreseeable future:
- Pins with a ball (because they can not be made within the current technology without additional significant investments).

It is clear that the balls are also needed. But. Not yet magem.

Such pins for photographing exhibits are good, so that the head does not obscure the back, but for any manipulations - not very good. And it's a little scary to drop it: it will be difficult to pull it out if it enters the body. Does the technology not allow you to bend the hook?

Quite a normal move. Many of the pins are generally stripped off with pliers these heads (including me), so as not to interfere.
And hooks are generally evil: when working with a collection, they cling to clothes, etc. with all the ensuing consequences..... Well, they don't care at all.
And drop it and pull it out later.... So just try not to drop wink.gif

30.11.2016 21:05, Peter Khramov

Yes, we'll bend the hooks too. Actually, in the next topic we discussed this issue — we will round the hooks and press them to the pin so that they do not cling. But the version with hooks will be available after more intensive testing of the current version (probably now after NG). As a result, both options should be available for sale — with hooks (slightly more expensive) and without (slightly cheaper) — to anyone who likes it better.

And then how do you perform the procedure of sticking-pulling? With tweezers and teeth clenched tightly? And if it slips with all the consequences, especially when stuck in a dense material? The hook, of course, I meant curved into a ring, it does not cling to anything. But tweezers or just fingers cling to it easily and conveniently. And, what is important for me, it is very easy to rotate around the longitudinal axis of the pin already stuck.

I use for straightening a piece of cork oak bark brought to the desired state (cork in the common people) or any other similar material where the pin fits well. It's not a problem.
Material with dense covers is pre - "blackened".
The tool is shown here. There's no problem with that either.
A pin in insulated or foam plastic, which in the box can be turned any and without much effort. Don't even worry about smile.gifit

30.11.2016 22:49, ИНО

Your pitching tool is thicker than the pins I usually use (maximum 1, more often 0 and 00), obviously this is the case. When more than half the length is in a dense material (which one, I don't know, it is sealed with paper by the manufacturer of the boxes), it is not easy to turn even with the head with your fingers, but with a hook it is elementary. What is important is not a fundamental opportunity, but convenience. If you do something with effort, usually the result is broken legs and antennae. In isolon and soft foam, of course, everything is easy to turn, but I would not risk taking a box with such a backing on the road.

Normal: you can use this tool to set the direction even under 000 (checked) smile.gif
It has a very sharp and long sharpening and is made of very strong tool steel. The main thing is skill (I'm used to it). In general, almost any person tries to use "their own tool" in their work, which the hand is used to.
On the road, it is really better not to take isolon it is too soft and springy (the insect on the pin shakes and breaks): I agree here smile.gif
Foam can be used for carrying, but you need to take a thicker one so that you can drive the pin almost under the insect itself so that the pin does not "walk". Then the probability of failure should be reduced to almost zero. This is how I see the solution to these problems.

Will there be pins of other numbers? For example 0 or 1?

01.12.2016 11:37, Sergey Didenko

Yes, 0 and 1 are the most popular, not everyone needs a treshka and not in large quantities. Q: Will there be black enamel pins? And the price is not very clear. Entosphinx, whose products we all use, now has a price of about 175 rubles, if you order through the site. On Bursa, including Moscow, you can easily buy for 150. It also offers a new product, still of unknown quality, without a drop on the end, which is not convenient for most, for 140 rubles. A little strange...

Yes, we are also going to make other sizes, but only after testing the technology on a three-wheel drive (including with hooks).
Black enamel (although rather varnished) is not planned yet, but perhaps we will also make an oxidized version (it looks like antique bronze).
As for prices-nothing strange. The store price of the cheapest pins in Moscow (both here and in Entomon) is 290 rubles. I think it is obvious why it is correct to compare it with this price.
As for the quality — that's why I offer you a review, so that it becomes more well-known and that we can further improve something if necessary.

01.12.2016 15:17, Bianor

I would take 500 pieces with a review.
Just right for large moths, and then it's convenient to take photos. Just about the review. If it turns out that the pins have soft steel, which, like Entosphinx stainless steel, bends into a hook at the very tip when something strong is pierced, or some other problems come out, they should also be written honestly, or only a eulogy is accepted as a review? )

01.12.2016 15:38, Alexandr Zhakov

smile.gif A review is also a review in Africa, and a eulogy is an advertisementsmile.gif. This is the second stage.
This is what they say, you need to first poyuzat, and different people with different habits, objects of work, boxes, and so on, But the reviews are made korektirovka in the manufacturing process.

01.12.2016 15:54, Peter Khramov

Bianor, of course, needs an honest review.

01.12.2016 16:33, Bianor

Asar, and what is the order order? Departure to the city with subsequent pickup and payment upon receipt is possible?

01.12.2016 17:20, Peter Khramov

For most localities, yes.
Place an order on the site, write a nickname with molbiol in the order note, we call back and agree on delivery. P.
S. People who are from Moscow or are in it, we can just cross paths sometime in the city, and I will pass the pins.

Without the ball, they won't take it, they already took it in the 90s. This is not a business.

Suddenly, an idea came to me: if you don't want to freeze with hooks, you can do it without them, but a little longer than usual. Who likes hooks, he will bend, and who does not-will bite off the extra.

There was already this, they sold pins from the Uchkollektor, with hooks and long ones without hooks. It was terrible... Why suggest this squalor again???

Right.
And the semblance of a ball can be made by dipping it in a suitable, thick nitrolac.

They will take it. They won't.... Why write about it?
This is a personal matter for everyone. No one imposes it.
I, for example, am not satisfied with either hooks or balls (
Expensive pins The Shiga to take? No. 3 320 rubles pack (100 pcs) in Entomon? Yes, they are still there and not available at the moment ((.
And over meogo dies prick.....
No really. This option does not suit you.
I see in the offered pins the most convenient option for myself.
Therefore, I have already made an agreement and I will take it next week.

for me, the head=ball is much more convenient to work with-the fingers are intactwink.gif, even the Sovkov microheads (who saw them and worked with them) are more convenient to work with than the skinned sphinx.
I understand that everyone now has izolon and other PPE, but there is also foam with pebbles, and there is peat. you stick a needle in such a box and it turns out that on one side there is an ekz pinned, and on the other you.
there is a buyer for any product - everyone will choose according to their taste and practice, so I don't think there is a dispute about anything. if the needles are of decent quality and at an affordable price, then they will be taken.
make it longer and who wants to bend it himself-GAME!
PS would take 1000 #1 to fix the "krupnyak" in the collection

I think that all those who respect their fingers have long replaced peat or some other relic with the aforementioned foam or isolon. Fortunately, now the construction markets are divorced-mom do not grieve smile.gif
You go and buy what you need. And then you change it in the box.
Not a problem.
The problem is something else:
Where to get a normal number of inexpensive pins. The main thing is that the steel is good, suitable length and correct sharpening.
For myself, I still see the solution to it in these pins (of course, I still need to use them).

I will insert my 5 kopecks: If you do it, then do it well, i.e. with a ball. Work with pins without sharichka, cherevata puncture fingers (sad experience is available frown.gif). For photographing, the most important thing, but for tattooing dies unsightly. Hooks and loops are generally some kind of BDSM from entomology.

Again, some kind of imperfection came out with these Russian pins. I'm wondering why there are still no Chinese ents. pins, so that you can buy them on Aliexpress. Is the sales market too narrow and small?

03.12.2016 23:05, AGG

What's game? Should an entomologist be able to work with pasatiges? Game - not to be able to. It takes 1-2 minutes to bend the hook-loop, and you can't compare the time spent with pricking and melting. But the price of such a pin should be significantly less.

you pay money not for a "DIY kit", but for something that you can work with. buy yourself these pins and zzavali! but if they don't suit you, then they don't fit you!

You're all funny. smile.gif
Better domestic pins with welded heads did not meet. True, if this is a production before the 80s. Then there was a mess - the length is different, the heads are crooked, the sharpening is often two-sided, like a screwdriver... frown.gif
By the way, the current newfangled ones with plastic heads are not much better - these balls fly only a little less often than the ancient ones with screwed-up wire.
By the way, in the British Museum almost all pins are WITHOUT heads, and the bottom of the boxes is not made of PPE. With your fingers, such a pin is generally problematic to pull out of the bottom. Therefore, they have special reinforced curved tweezers for this purpose.
