Cool animals! It is interesting to draw such people (the artist says this in me smile.gif). My hands are itching!

Super beetles. It seems like in the Odessa region should go? What are the chances of catching it? I really want to go for them smile.gif

The specimens shown in the photo are mostly from Central Asia, but only one or 2 specimens are from the Kherson region...
But offhand I don't remember... frown.gif

Well, you and I know what C. mesasiaticus Medv really is. & Nikol smile.gif
But this is already more interesting: C. fischeri ( Fisch.) - can I elaborate? I never came across anything on them, except that this is the type species of the genus.

Indeed, there is little data on C. fischeri (Fisch.). The most famous summary of this species is contained in one (8th, I think) of the volumes(issues) "Insects of Mongolia". Nikolaev G. V. and Puntsagdulam J., in my opinion, the compilers of the selection. Now, from memory, I don't remember all the sources, but if necessary, I will raise my archives. Moreover, I seem to have a scan from this issue for all the plate-whiskered beetles. I'll take a look at it, and if necessary, I'll send it to you.
Sincerely,.......
