It is distributed in Siberia to the Altai and in the Far East (south of Khabarovsk Krai, Primorsky Krai, Amur Region, northwestern China, Mongolia, Korea).
In the Amur region, one of the common and mass species. Larvae lead a parasitic lifestyle. Triangulins, parasitize in the nests of mares, eating the clutches of host eggs and, thereby, affect the reduction of Locust populations. Imagos are phytophages that eat the leaves, shoots, and inflorescences of plants. Most often they feed on plants of this family. legumes.
