Green Geometrid moths

Pavel Morozov, 01.08.2007 0:06

I post another object of adoration-green moths.
For starters, four of our own:
1 - Thalera fimbrialis
2 - Thetidia smaragdaria
3 - Hemithea aestivaria
4 - Geometra papilionaria

Pay attention to the mosquitoes in the second picture. I didn't want to remove them from the frame. smile.gif

6 - Culpinia diffusa
7 - Thetidia chlorophyllaria

9 - Comibaena delicatior

Who else has what? Picking up.

Wonderful! Thank you. It's just a pity that in the collection they quickly fade even in indirect light. They fly quite often, but Hemithea aestivaria has never been caught.

5 - Thetidia albocostaria
8 - Comibaena delicatior

Pretty similar, in my opinion.

I'm sorry, I missed the seventh, that's why I'm so confused.
7 - Thetidia chloropyllaria
8 - Thetidia albocostaria
9 - Comibaena delicatior

Naturally, 5 and 8 are the same thing.

Frozz:
It's a great idea to do these sets. It is very convenient to identify similar types from them! In this way, you can at least understand a little bit about different similar types for people like me, for example smile.gif

This year I caught a few day-old green moths. Although their color is rather faded. I didn't find any of them in these photos. If necessary, I will bring wink.gifyou a fairly large species (if compared with many other moths)

BE SURE TO DRIVE!!!
Do you also have tufts? Especially Spatalia argentina and Drymonia sp?

01.08.2007 12:39, Pavel Morozov

Yes, the greens are a pretty (albeit capricious) collectible.
Tropical or something to lay out?

Угу,угу!!! yes.gif

01.08.2007 13:05, Pavel Morozov

Here are some tropical ones for you. Mostly Sarawak (Malaysia, Borneo), there are a couple from French Guiana, a copy from China.

Eh Frozzz, you inspire with your pyadenichkami. Already I want to collect something like this myself smile.gif

Two more from near Kiev

Hemistola chrysoprasaria

svm2, you will spread just goodies! Both species are also found in the Moscow region, but they are by no means banal. I haven't met H. chrysoprasaria yet, and C. bajularia, imagine, last year I accidentally crushed it at the screen and didn't even notice it. Only in the morning, looking around the place for butterflies left over from the night, I saw a pathetic sight.
But I changed later, thanks to Bad Den for the material.

Hemistola chrysoprasaria is not a Moscow region species, but its closest location is Galichya Gora in the Lipetsk region.

In the PTZ year in 2003 caught.

Near Kiev, it does not come across often, 1-2 per year, the first one flies much more often, but to have a lot-I did not have to see

I decided to support the topic of green moths - I must admit that I am also not indifferent to them... And not only to them, but in general to all greens-mottled birds, shuttle birds and others, starting with Callophrys rubi.
Итак -
Campaea margaritata
Chlorissa viridata
Chloroclystis v-ata
Colostygia pectinataria
Comibaena bajularia
Hemithea aestivaria
Microloxia herbaria
Thalera fimbrialis
Thetidia smaragdaria
