For my own pleasure and in the piggy bank of my favorite section of forums, I undertook to sketch a couple of paragraphs about the September weekly rush to Abkhazia.
I must say, it was 50% unsuccessful, barely breaking out of the shackles of work, study, etc., I had to solve the problem of renting a camera, mine broke down at the stage of collecting a backpack.Without it, at least hand over your tickets.
Nevertheless, the night is on the road, and I am already slapping the trunk of a sprawling Gagra eucalyptus tree, (but mentally still at work

The weather is quite normal, humid, warm. A couple of rainy days , a day at the sea, a day on an excursion to Pitsunda, a day to lie down (acclimatization or something) and for a sortie the countryside is cut out for half a day. What to do.

So, I get on a minibus. I'm driving in the direction of Adler, looking at where to jump out , I go to the final one(along Gagra).Near the bridge, behind it you can see the gorge, if I'm not mistaken, called Joekvarskoe. I loop around the private sector, jumping insects scurry under my feet, and Acrids are exotic and not uncommon .I descend to the pebbles of the dried-up river. I'm trying to catch a skinny gray lizard , but it wasn't there. But there is no time to get upset - I want to go further and further. Tall bushes all in purple, mountain slopes in dense greenery, I can't believe that October is in a week! Emotions turn from positive to negative, the locals use the river as a garbage chute, and the more beautiful the view of the clearing, the wider the pile of garbage next to it. On the trails of the gorge tourists walk on horseback. There's no escape! I try not to run into anyone.
Quite without thinking about the above,broad-winged mother-of-pearl and velvety, well-groomed admirals fly in pairs along the river . I didn't notice any other butterflies . I found some bear parts in the stagnant water ,and I caught, I won't say for sure, a termite.
The water in the river is clear, as it should be in the Caucasus, I would like to drink! but knowing about the cavalry with tourists upstream…
From the highway 20 minutes, but the microclimate is different, damp, ferns, moss cotton wool hanging from branches and boulders, I shoot a video. I turn over manure, logs, cinder blocks, rocks and pieces of bark. If I were a ground beetle, I would definitely settle in such a place. But no beetles are visible.
I only came across a few starving scorpions. Under a sheet of rusty tin, I startled a lazy snake and a scorpion that was famously shaking off ants. I notice scorpionflies on the branches . Some small oatmeal in the dust . Not too thick .On the slope I hear the sound of a fallen tree. Or did you hear it? I think it can't be that they cut down, the slope is steep, and the guns are inaudible. The second time it convinces - they probably cut down valuable rocks on the sly, tourists for trinkets.
Splashes of rain order us to turn around and go home . Mother-of-pearl is almost invisible already, admirals fly with might and main. I hide my camera.

In the evening, sitting on the terrace, I notice a large spider under the ceiling in a secluded place. He has settled down not far from the lamp and is watching. I knew about the existence of such spiders, but I had never encountered them in a live form before. For tea and thoughts on how to get to it (3 meters up), a hornet appears in the "arena". At first, I watch him forget about the spider, but after a while, he rushes straight to tom's paws, and both of them head over heels on the tile, the hornet in the dark, and the spider itself becomes my prey. After traveling with me across 3 borders, he settled in a jar and found his taste in the local flies. But soon in the morning I found a sluggish spider and its abandoned prey at the bottom of the jar-the house included a mosquito repellent fumigator ! .
