Gegharkuni in Issyk-Kul grows up to about a meter in length and up to 15 maximum kilos of weight - also, by the way, not bad.
The main reason is that the ichthyophage niche was vacant in Issyk-Kul before Gegharkuni moved in, and there are plenty of non-machelus chars there. So Ishkhan occupied this niche.

(In general, in this aspect, salmon fish is a shitty analogy with a beetle: they are very plastic and easily sit in new niches, giving specific shapes)
