It is strange that so far the images of weevils are not combined into one theme. Probably, no one wants to mess with them...

Still, I will introduce here such a weevil from Peru, the district of Iquitos.
It is defined as Ozopherus muricatus.

The color favors the presence of ochre-gray tones on the trunks of palm trees with scum lichens. Shot on Palm Mauritius sp.

Friends, it is very difficult to shoot beetles on macro, they move all the time and do not want to focus completely (sometimes only the antennae, then only the eyes in focus!). Lots of marriage.
