So I decided to create a theme based on various settings.

According to the label, all 6 copies are:
Protaetia ( Protaetia ) scepsia Dohrn, 1872
(Cetoniinae → Cetoniini → Cetoniina)
Is it really such a variable view?
I'll ask our specialists to join us. Actually interested in whether all belong to the same species? Unfortunately, there is no place to check for yourself. And the trouble with all this exoticism (((
The geography of the whole series is the same:

In any case, the variability is in their blood. Maybe this is the distinguishing feature of the species? Even the left and right elytra are different.

Where do you get all this exotic stuff? Barbels, bronzes, and everything else. In this amount, these cannot be random purchases. Do you really have a collection of tropics?

I'm not familiar with this species (P. scepsia), but I think it looks like it's all one species. The patterns of white spots seem to be more or less the same, but as for the color - our Far Eastern bronze Gametis jucunda has even greater variability, and nothing)
As for the last copy, these white spots in bronzes often become fattened or erased.

What are the definitions of "what I bought it for" or are you a specialist in tropical bronzes?

12.02.2016 20:33, smb

Why no labels?

The photos were taken for their own purposes, which did not include photographing labels.
If the question is whether the copies are labelled, then yes.

12.02.2016 20:37, smb

The definitions are mostly "what I bought for". I can't call myself a specialist in tropical bronzes, although during the collection of this group, I have gained some experience in identifying them.

No, the question is that people (who will view the photo) will be interested in knowing not only the name of the beetle, but also to know where the beetle itself is from...

I'm afraid it's not the green form of flammea or Torynorrhina at all (it's not pubescent on top, is it?). Usually, this green animal turns out to be Rhomborhina mellyi.
