  Hierodula transcaucasica?

I don't know... I had a blockage with my studies, almost left the university, I didn't have time to do them - I let everyone out... Four ooteks were found near Alushta-hatched at the most inopportune moment, all released into the wild, in Simferopol. Although - it would be more correct to take to the "homeland", but stupidly there was no time...

Why not fasciata? I can see the growth on my leg. Any close-up shots of your feet?

Outgrowths on the legs of all empusa are not a specific feature. Fasciata has not yet been found in Russia within the former USSR.
I wonder if there are any publications on praying mantises of the Volga region!? I just now have you here considered that polistika and religiya are quite similar in appearance...
It will be necessary to redefine the fees of our Penza praying mantises, but what if we have more than one species??? There are so many types of praying mantises in the Volgograd region... Very interesting!

There are only four species in the Volgograd region: M. religiosa, E. pennicornis, B. brachyptera, and I. polystictica. In Astrakhan, the desert Rivetina nana is added to this company.
It is extremely difficult to confuse M. religiosa and Iris polystictica, since it is unlikely that you have it.
Some Lower Volga mantises:
1. E. pennicornis, male-Astrakhan region, Baskunchak Lake district, Bolshoe Bogdo, June 2007.

2. The same, female-Volgograd, August 2006

3. I. polystictica, male-Volgograd, August 2006

4. The same, the female - in the same place and at the same time.

5. B. brachyptera - mating. Vogograd, August 2008.

6. Rivetina nana-Astrakhan region, sandy desert in the vicinity of Dosang settlement.

Banal M. religiosa do not spread - their cloud nasnyata all and everywhere. Although here is a picture from the series of mores: the male did not have time to part peacefully, or approached the female at the wrong time ...

  Hierodula transcaucasica?

That's the one.

Outgrowths on the legs of all empusa are not a specific feature. Fasciata has not yet been found in Russia within the former USSR.

Not found doesn't necessarily mean that it's missing. Not found today, found tomorrow. Did someone search specifically?
Basins, if you believe to the caller ID, just a specific feature. However, it is not clear how to translate the thesis "with large/with small" into absolute values.
