I've seen them in collections before.

I've seen a lot of them. In the collections from Central Asia, many of them do not have a spot at all. Butterflies of all Lygephila are very variable, despite the simplicity of their pattern. And Zoya Fyodorovna's key, quoted above, is based on the fauna of Ukraine.

And, by the way, where does the genus Chrysorithrum belong now? I don't have the NE13 handy here...

By the way, a systematic list of Ottudov's scoops could also be made publicly available, the authors would hardly be against it.

Who can share information about the number of generations of L. pastinum in different regions and whether there are differences between generations?

18.02.2014 10:08, svm2

Near Kiev, what is currently in the collection, there are no visible differences, in my opinion. How many generations-you can judge for yourself.

Vasily and Sergey, thank you.
There are two generations in Hungary that differ in size. The first (June-July) is larger (35-38 mm) and the second (August) is smaller (29-31 mm).
picture: 001.jpg

The genitals of males of different generations also differ in size.

Actually, you're right, and also -the second generation seems to be less colorful (the male of the second generation is the same as this female, only less photogenic)
