I didn't find a topic on them, but nevertheless the subfamily is quite large and I believe that it is worthy of a separate topic 
Well I'll start the topic with perhaps the most unusual tropical representative of the subfamily:
Mormolyce phyllodes Hagenbach, 1825
The size of this instance is 8 cm. If only all the Czechs were such "elephants"
