The full text of Vadim Zolotukhin's review of D'Abrera is also available.
I marvel at his tact. I wouldn't be able to do it without a mat...

And Stas - after all, maybe it's better not to publish the table of contents before publishing it on the site, eh?

Is it when he calls D'Abrera-resentfully-an unrecognized person in the twilight of his career? Very tactful smile.gif

Good article Oleg. A lot of work has been done. I keep trying to do something similar on RT. By the way, some of the unique Penza species for the region were also found in Kazan province: Adela violella (Eversmann, 1844: 593; Krulikowsky, 1908: 272), Hypatopa binotella (Krulikowsky, 1908: 265), Notocelia incarnatana (Krulikowsky, 1908: 259), Pelochrista infidana (Melnikov, 1887: 23, Krulikowsky, 1908: 259). Two other species are known from Chuvashia: Lobesia abscisana (Lastukhin, 2001: 51), Eucosma lacteana (Lastukhin, 2001: 53)

Thank you Niyaz! I believe that for Tatarstan, the problem of lepidoptera No. 1 is the elucidation of the modern distribution, biology, classification, etc. of the eastern mother-of-pearl-Clossiana selenis Eversmann, 1837. The view is described from your territory and you don't know a damn thing about it in Tatarstan!??
Here is my essay on this species from the Penza KK Animals, 2005

Yes, the problem of modern finds of Clossiana selenis is complicated by the fact that it probably flies in single specimens all over Tatarstan along with similar but common species of Clossiana selene, Clossiana euphrosyne, and Brenthisino3. And it is difficult for an inexperienced hunter to isolate it from them and catch it. By the way, not only it is described from the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, but also, for example, 3 species of moth: Macaria loricaria, Chariaspilates formosaria, Acasis appendata, and there are no modern finds for the last two of them either. Pichal!

04.04.2014 13:29, Penzyak

Yes, it does not fly alone and even more so throughout Tatarstan, read the essay carefully...

I know 2 populations in the Nizhny Novgorod region. One of them is most likely to be included in the CC of NGOs, the second one is not known to local specialists. Both are located in the taiga subzone.

Is this year's special issue still out of print?

21.07.2015 11:20, rhopalocera.com

I don't know. As far as I remember, there were some problems with paying for the circulation, and since everyone is on expeditions, this may not be solved yet.

21.07.2015 21:38, Лавр Большаков

A separate issue was received along with 42. PDF files have long been sent to Mokrousov. Now he has to catch me in between trips to take out the print run.

The rules for authors of Eversmannia have been changed since 2016.

The most unacceptable systems in this collection are those of the mace-whiskered lepidoptera group proposed in the works of A. L. Lvovsky and D. V. Morgun (2007), "Catalog of Lepidoptera Russia " [2008] and in subsequent works by V. V. Tchikolovets; the broadest interpretations of the families Elachistidae s. l., Pyralidae s. l., Brahmeidae s. l., Noctuidae s. l.; the broadest interpretations of the genera Coleophora s. l., Parnassius s. l., Nymphalis s. l., Plebeius s. l., Polyommatus s. l.

Are these changes? What does not coincide with your personal ideas about taxonomy will not be accepted for publication?

With this question, as with any other, please contact the editor of the journal. I am not a member of the editorial board, I do purely technical work (website, RSCI, elibrary, layout, etc.) .

18.02.2016 21:09, Лавр Большаков

Aurelian, the changes are not just these.
Any "personal submissions" can be accepted only if you refer to reputable sources or provide your own convincing comments.
But there is a small list of archaic things that, in the light of modern scientific knowledge, border on obscurantism and therefore cannot be published here.
You may be a great butterfly connoisseur, but if you don't know the latest developments in taxonomy, you should finally master them. And if you don't want to know, then post somewhere else.
