Here's a horror story for young entomologists:

Girls who disappeared in the Sverdlovsk region, looking for the fifth day.

16-year-old Masha Sorokina and 14-year-old Masha Tarnopolskaya arrived in the Middle Urals from the Moscow Region as part of an "Ecological landing party" from the capital's zoo by agreement with the Denezhkin Kamen Nature Reserve. In the reserve, they were in a field camp on the Maly Ivdel River. On July 25, the girls went to the forest to look for and study insects. They reached a mountain range, where they got lost in the fog on their way back. All they had with them was a pack of cookies, a map, and a compass. Employees of the Police Department and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, hunters and reserve staff went in search of the teenagers. Traces of children and places where they rested have already been found, Novy Region reports.

Remember, when I was actively traveling to Georgia, from Abkhazia to Adjara, there was such a case. Several ornithologists got lost, and the times were Gamsakhurdiev, i.e. they were shooting...
And they got lost in the wrong direction.. got lost, got lost and got out... to the gang.
Maybe nothing terrible would have happened if one of the comrades did not look something like a distant relative of one of the" warring " comrades... It was decided to execute them without trial and only by a miracle they survived, because one of the "bandits" decided to find out what-how much... but the pants had to be changed and the nerves treated for more than one day...
Personally, I know 2 zmeelovs from Moscow, who went at different times "for gyurzy", which no one else ever heard of and did not find the remains. And one disappeared in Dagestan.
So, we need to think...

In fact, my parents were there and took part in the search. And they transfer responsibility for their children with a receipt (before the trip) to the shoulders of the expedition leader.
And the leaders in fact did not do anything so terrible as the newspapers write about: "Forced to go to the taiga alone, not provided with equipment... "(I wonder how they would have survived without equipment from mosquitoes!?).
KYUBZ has been organized since 1923. And always (almost always) his field expeditions went like this: a group of young people and leaders. Students chose their own topic and collected their own material in different nature reserves. Many well-known Moscow biologists have passed the Kluba school for Young Zoo Lovers. And Dubrovsky never let the children go "no one knows where" one by one. And the children are equipped (dressed-shod) and equipped with a map and compass.
Why am I writing all this? I don't justify managers. Their main fault is that they didn't teach them how to behave when they lost their orientation. There is no need to go anywhere, you need to sit and wait, indicating your location.
And I don't want the "pioneer biological science"to end because of this incident. On the other hand, I don't want to look for anyone else.

Meanwhile, the manager faces from 80 thousand fine to a year in prison.

It's really best not to mess with children. When I was working as a camp counselor, we lost two boys. Late at night, heavy rain and thunderstorms began to fall. We went to count our kids and found out that one of the cabins was empty. They searched the entire camp – no!!! The other kids said the two of them were going to run off into the woods without asking. Natalia and I (the second counselor) rushed into the forest. We ran for more than an hour in the rain through the forest, as a result of finding no one, we decided to return to the camp to raise everyone else in search. We arrive at the camp, and our kids shout that Max and Denis have been found. So, these two stooges, it turns out, crawled under the bed, afraid of a thunderstorm and fell asleep there!!! Natalya and I naturally didn't think to look under the bed, but they were sleeping soundly!!!
There's something wrong with the lost girls story, too. This whole story doesn't seem to fit. I wonder if there is any locality nearby? It feels like they've been holed up somewhere. An untouched packet of cookies… Usually, children share such things right away, and then everyone disposes of their part as they want. I know cases when healthy men lost in the taiga in two days found a little alive, and then the children! They found it 10 km away from the camp – they must have combed the area more than once… It turns out an interesting story!!!

From all the conversations, the manager looks normal.. It seems that the punishment is not seriously clinging to him.. Is it really his fault, because 1 person can not fully monitor all of them? I wonder if the manager himself let them go for a" walk "away, that they got lost, or did not let them go far, and they wandered like "smart" girls? In general, I would get lost with them-fun-adventure, all that.. Berries and all that.. This is awesome!
