I grieve... His books formed my interest in nature and biology. Bright memory to him!

I wanted to write my condolences to my family and friends, but after reading it, my hand didn't rise.

Rest in peace to Man and Entomologist with a capital letter! I will not be original - his books have sunk into my soul since childhood.

How sad it is that Pavel Iustinovich suffered such a heavy fate at the end of his life! It's a sad irony to say that he was in good company. One of the greatest geniuses of all time – Aristotle died in exile on the island of Euboea, studying the peculiarities of the currents near this island. Columbus, Lamarck, Faraday, and Tesla died in poverty and oblivion.… The level of development of society is recognized, including in relation to the creators of culture, especially to the honored, old people. How little we have come from those ancient times. Pavel Iustinovich was a wonderful man. His book "Insects Defend Themselves" is the second favorite book about insects of my childhood after Fabre. Bright memory to a bright person.

For the sake of justice, we need to clarify about the relatives of P. I., who were mentioned here more than once. Marikowski's daughter was a graduate student at ZINA, and I think she was working on hymenoptera. She, like her husband and wife P. I., has long been dead. The son of P. I., as stated on some forum, is a 70-year-old old man and lives in another state. Is it worth cursing the dead and the old man?

When I was 7 years old, I read his book "Young entomologist", it
was the main thing, it had a great love for the cause that he
devoted himself to. This little book changed my life forever.
I am a human being and I understand people's feelings, emotions
, of course, too. But I believe in God, so maybe I see
things in a slightly different light. Marikovsky left, but left
a good memory of himself. And he died "in poverty", for those only who
are only alive to death. In fact, the wealth accumulated by him is innumerable and
among them sparkle like priceless diamonds... there are not beautiful
books, photographs or scientific articles (of which there were many), but many
human lives saved by him. For those who don't understand what I
'm talking about, let me remind you about a simple method that protected people from
karakurt poison.
In general, God grant everyone to live such a life as he lived. So
live and do so much... So much good to do.
The real thing to grieve and regret is for those who do not have kindness and
sympathy in their soul for anyone but themselves, because they are really dead, already dead and dead forever.. and they died in their spiritual poverty.

With the departure of the remarkable entomologist Marikovsky to the upper people, the Soviet period in entomology is also largely disappearing. For a pittance, you could go anywhere from the desert to the tundra, from the Baltic to the Pacific Ocean. The golden age for the Russian entomologist was friends. Let's hope that entomologists will not be transferred to Kazakhstan... Another page in the history of entomology is closed - let the seeds laid in the MASTER's books not be lost in the dust...
