Need for a College project, Yandex and Google don't know much, so I ask all who have the materials on this topic, please share plz mol.gif
And as an example:
Inachis io
The ancient Greeks considered butterflies to be a manifestation of something divine. And they associated the weeping eyes on the wings of a butterfly with the suffering of the poor girl Io-the beloved of Zeus. To save her from the attacks of his jealous wife Hera, the ruler of Olympus turned Io into a snow-white heifer. But even after that, Hera continued to pursue her rival, sending a terrible gadfly at her. The poor chick's suffering was noticed by a passing butterfly and wiped away her tears. And the marks of the poor girl Io's weeping eyes were forever left on the wings of this butterfly.

something was in the book "mythological zoology" by author O. M. Ivanov-Kazas...for example, what I could immediately look at(and then sleep willingly smile.gif)

"Vanessa-little women" bigger than a mosquito and smaller than a sparrow " with leaf-shaped wings. If you kill V.(even accidentally), a terrible beast will come out of the forest and kill the offender.Their husbands (agricons) do not have wings (?) and live underground. These little men somehow take care of the plants. The butterfly's genesis could not be determined

IMHO, Idea sp. Everything else is flying there at breakneck speed and you won't be sitting there listening to the sermon for a long smile.giftime

There was a belief in the south of Russia-I read it somewhere, once.If the death's head hawk moth flew into the house and extinguished a burning candle with its wings, the house was abandoned-they went to live in a new place.

I marvel at your requests for young people - in order to collect such material that you ask, I had to look through entomoliterature for several days and then collect / order articles for several years (including in ZINA). I don't mean the myths and legends of ancient Greece based on the names of butterflies, but more serious work with taxonomy and data analysis. And then give it to me... This was the case under sochialism.
