Who-thread can tell you exactly where the biostation of Donetsk University (DonNU) is located?

In general , what do people think about when they point out points in their articles that can't be found on the map?..

I'm just from Donetsk. Vlad, the answer to your question depends on the time of training camp. The location of the biostation has changed, but all DonGU biostations have always been located in the Seversky Donets River valley within the Donetsk region (i.e., in its northern part). Now there is no biological station at all. But since you mentioned the current name of the university (Donetsk National University), which it received only ten years ago, most likely it means the village of Dronovka (the right bank of the village of Donets on the border with the Luhansk region). The biostation there was established sometime in the mid-1990s and lasted until 2001. Then, after a two-year break, there were summer biological practices in 2003 and 2004. After that, the biological station itself was closed down and now there is just a summer camp of the university.

In general, there used to be a biostation in Sidorovo (in the 1970s), Yatskovka (exactly in 1990, my first year), and since 1992 - in Stary Karavan (= Brusino, = Brusovka). That's what I know.

What are the fees and for what years?

Thank you very much! How difficult it is, it turns out!
And it is difficult to say how old the collections are, I just see a link to the work of Bartenev and Gram in 1996 from Izv. Kharkiv entomol. the island.
We need to get the article itself, since this is the case...

In fact, it seems that there is also the North Donetsk biostation of the KHARKIV National University (almost since 1912) in Gaidar. Couldn't the name of the station have been automatically transferred to the university (especially since Izvestia is Kharkiv)?

By the way, there was a mention of this station (KHARKIV University) :

"From Zmiev, our way runs along the Seversky Donets River, and the first stop is near the village of Gaidary, where many health resorts and recreation centers are located, and the biological station of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University operates. The University biostation was founded in 1912 by Academician V. M. Arnoldi, the author of the first Russian textbook on algology-the science of algae. Every year, students of the Faculty of Biology - botany, zoology, mycology and Genetics - take internships here. Next to the biological station, in the old house, a museum of local nature has been created, and then there is an experimental field. The station is also known for the fact that it is home to the most famous "weather forecaster" of Ukraine - baibak Timka."

When I searched, I realized that there is one too. But it seems that this is not what is meant.
Although who knows...

Ah, then it's all clear. This is not a Donnu biostation. If you mean work:

Bartenev A. F., Gramma V. N. On the study of insects and other arthropods from the Red Book of Ukraine // Proceedings of the Kharkiv Entomological Society. - 1996. - Vol. 4, issue 1-2. - pp. 14-18.

then only the so-called "Donetsk Biological Station" (= Seversko-Donetsk biological Station) is mentioned there (including the scoop fees). It is located in the village of Gaidary of the Zmiyevsky (Gottwaldsky from 1976 to 1990) district of the Kharkiv region and has nothing to do with Donetsk universities, as it is a biostation of the Kharkiv University. This is a huge array of upland oak forests on the high right bank of the village of Donets.

History of the Donetsk Biostation:

It just so happens that this is my favorite place, which is also the typical location of the Merodon alexandri sirfid species I described, so I immediately throw the coordinates for googlemap:

49°37'26.03"N 36°19'22.89"E

And the hermit is not caught there regularly.

maybe you're right about the hermit I've never seen him before but Don Nats station. university. located in dronovka called Sokol it is quite possible that it is now bought out

Igor1962, reread the topic-biostation (now a camp) DonNU in Dronovka has nothing to do with the so-called DONETSK BIOSTATION of THE Kharkiv National University IN THE KHARKIV REGION IN THE VILLAGE OF GAIDARY.
