And who on the forum is engaged in collecting and studying glitters of Russia!? In the Penza region, Seryoga Shibaev and I have already collected more than 60 species of glitter wasps! Gorgeous and interesting animals I'll tell you. I advise you to help out - the colors of the coloring are INDESCRIBABLE !!! In winter, looking under the winter sun and through binoculars is a real pleasure.

.........

It is good that you mentioned Shibaev, because I have long been tormented by the question-why is the review of chrysidids of the Penza region in " Entomological and parasitological studies in the Volga region "(Issue 3, 2004) under the authorship of only Stoiko and your. Where is Shibaev?
By the way, there are errors in the article - You would let someone edit it more annoying or something.
Not paying attention to the little things... For example, the mentioned article lists the combination "Hedychrum gerstaeckeri plicatus subsp. n." strongly... Hedychrum gerstaeckeri plicatus Kilimnik, 1993 has already been described. smile.gif See: Kilimnik A. N. Glistening wasps of the genus Hedychrum Latreille, 1806 (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae) Eastern Europe // Entomol. obozr. 1993. Vol. 72, issue no. 2. pp. 388-400. Or is it a homonym? Then nomen nudum?

Thank you for the audience's interest in wasps-spangles of the Middle Volga region!
After our publication Stoiko, Polumordvinov (2004) on the fauna of the glistening wasps of the Penza region, there were two more works by Sergey Shibaev!! One (detailed) in the Penza edition (as they say on the forum - local, but I want to make a pun - " unknown to anyone!") and the last (only a list of species) at the last congress in Moscow on perepons (two years ago).
I think Sergey himself will inform our audience about his work (by the way, that article in 2004 was edited by Ms. LYUTIKOVA, Moscow). Yes, you may be interested, he recently went to N. Novgorod to see Mr. Mikhail Mokrousov.

This was the first article, and indeed with some serious errors. Just Staunchly does not understand the nomenclature and brought what I saw mad.gif
The second article was published in the Penza collection in 2006 with 42 species, and unfortunately 2 species were mistakenly identified. He used it to give theses for the congress on regions. Now the list has reached 53 species, a probable number of more than 65, because I have not yet figured out the C. ignita group, and I hope for replenishment in a number of genera (after acquaintance with the collection of Mikhail Mokrousov). In addition, so far every year we find 1-2 new species, more often in new places.

Yeah... Understood.
Well, publications in collections and works were also my gross tactical mistake...
Could you please send me scans or photocopies of works on chrysidids in the Penza region? Except for the one mentioned in 2004.
Ready to edit articles on glitters. smile.gif Yes, and check the definitions...
Then-via HP.
P. S. The previous message is not from Papaver, but 2Papaver.

An article on wasps-spangles of the Penza region can be found on the pdf in Izvestiya PSPU (2006), the same publication where Shibaev and I published our article on mnemosyne (there is a link to it in the CC thread).

Shibaev Sergey-please post at least something from your photos os-blestyanok!!!
I think our audience will be INTNRESNO!

If you have a collection of glitter wasps-look at them now in the afternoon! Under the rays of the spring sun reflected from the snow they play with incomparable colors! Fantastic colors - what a pity that there are not enough such beautiful and interesting insects in Russian nature!! Imagine if they were bigger!
