Red Data Book of the Penza Region (2005). Volume # 2 Animals.

GROUND BEETLE SHAGREEN
Carabus coriaceus (Linnaeus, 1758)
Coleoptera Order Coleoptera
Ground Beetle Family-Carabidae

Security measures. It is protected on the Upper Sura section of the Privolzhskaya Forest-Steppe Nature Reserve and the Lugovoy Lake Ecocomplex protected area.

That's what I'm interested in. This means that the Carabus coriaceus is protected in this reserve and protected areas. And other ground beetle species that are not listed in the CC, but undoubtedly live there, so they are not protected. Of course, both the reserve and protected areas were not created under the Carabus coriaceus. Duc, what measures are being taken to protect this particular species in the Penza region? Agree-none. We wrote the CC, added the species to it, and in the measures we wrote what we could, only on the principle: if it lives there, and there is a special nature protection regime, then we will assume that this beetle is protected there. In my opinion, it smacks of profanity, if you'll excuse the rude word.
As for criminal liability, it will not work in relation to the "extraction" of Red Book insects (because it will not be able tongue.gifto ). With one exception: if someone wants to annoy an enemy, they will have the opportunity to" include " this article selectively to a specific collector (collector). With the identification of persons engaged in illegal extraction of insect species listed in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, law enforcement officers will have enormous difficulties, primarily related to the identification of extracted specimens of beetles, butterflies, and so on. But, of course, I repeat: an erudite enemy may well bring a particular collector under the article (including denunciation). Well, who's better off? How will this help protect insects?

First, these harsh laws are directed in the wrong direction. Secondly, they are not binding.

A small clarification: the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for criminal liability for the extraction of species listed in the CC of the Russian Federation, is mandatory. But in terms of insect extraction, it will be the so-called "dead" norm, i.e. its application in this part will tend to 0.

The article does not apply to cases where there is no criminal offense. All this can be extracted and wrapped, but with a ksiva. The law is not for everyone. And not about insects.

Duc, why bother? Any hlanius that crawls there deserves much more attention, because the ecological niche is "narrow". But this also needs to be dealt with. It's easier to stick a huge beetle in the CC, you can see it from a kilometer away. Again, everything is on the same principle: the largest and brightest. Once upon a time, I also thought that coriaceus was quite a rare species, until I learned to find it. And the species is quite plastic, quite tolerates the anthropogenic load, well, within reasonable limits, of course.

By the way, in the area of the PTZ, its number is lower than, for example, in some places, 30 km from the MKAD. At least, according to my scant shuffle.gifobservations.

Status - like cowards... it should be changed at least sometimes.

Status - like cowards... it should be changed at least sometimes.

For example, some of the "nerezinova" want to do this with Yaroslavl protected areas (at least some) in order to tear up the land and set up a "fazend" for themselves... When protected areas (municipal, regional) were created, the land was state-owned, and now the land near reservoirs is a very tasty morsel... And the habitat of protected species (preferably from different systematic groups and preferably larger) gives protected areas a chance to survive. And if the shagreen ground beetle is banal in the MO, then in the YAO, it is undoubtedly rare - two populations are reliably known (and confirmed), one of which (outside protected areas) remains on a steep slope that cannot be built up (but it is easy to "shit" with dense surrounding buildings)...

I'm sorry, but you misunderstood me. My post referred directly to Penzyak, his fanatical status. This phrase has nothing to do with protected areas.
