A new family of lepidoptera is described. Ustyurtiidae

Community and ForumOther questions. Insects topicsA new family of lepidoptera is described. Ustyurtiidae

rhopalocera.com, 12.03.2019 7:29

L. Kayla, K. Nupponen, Y. Gorbunov, M. Mutanen, and M. Heikkila in the latest issue of Insect Systematics & Evolution described a new family of lepidoptera (Ustyurtiidae) based on the new genus Ustyurtia, which includes two new species: U. zygophyllivora and U. charynica.

A new family of butterflies is serious. I am glad that I was directly involved in the discovery of the second species of this genus (U. charynica).

And where to get it? It's not listed on the Brill site...

And the DOI link is also broken.

This link also doesn't say anything. The DOI is also inactive. Apparently, the Finnish colleagues are too eager to share this news, so they run ahead of the locomotive.

At least the publication date is written there. But for the rest - for what I bought, for what I sell. I have this job.

This article (even an abstract) is not available anywhere on official resources (the journal's website, DOI). So, probably only proof runs on favorites. It is not clear why to set a non-working DOI, publication date, etc., if the work itself is unavailable.
I am very happy about the work of my colleagues with the description of the new family. This is really cool, but it is not clear why it should be advertised as an event that has already happened, although this is not the case at all.

This is actually important for the exact date of publication. It is clear that there are hardly any competitors for this particular family, genus and species, but there are enough cases in history when the priority of taxa was decided literally in days.

I understand everything. But...

The moped is not mine, I just posted an ad =)

The article is in the public domain, in fact, those who want-yes will prevail =)
Taeprst. how can I file a file on Researchgate? Something's not working out.
I hang up the PDF, because they write that open acess

Now everything is clear. This is a preprint that the authors posted on Researchgate. There is no output data for the article, and the DOI is inactive. But the guys can't wait to show off their moped.

Thanks! Nothing in itself, that the family, that the species have three authors each. I wonder what is the maximum number of co-authors known for entomological taxa? And is this regulated in any way in the Code?
