My apartment must be on the migration route of these ladybirds. To go into hibernation, it seems to me that all the ladybugs from all over the neighborhood flock to my apartment. In the fall, when the late Indian summer comes, or in the winter during the thaw, they wake up from hibernation, and read herds to wander on the window panes, hungry and angry! They bite very hard then… On one window cover I counted in the best years during thaws up to 50 individuals at a time!!! It's a pity for them, of course, they are unlikely to survive, t/c the biological regime of suspended animation is broken, the metabolism is started, and they have nothing to eat. Everyone eats!!! But this means that it is good for them, they drink water in drops, you can see how they suck, just to stumble upon a drop of liquid left for them. For a long time they suck a piece of apple, pear, or some other fruit. In general, here they are such prezabavnye these ladybirds, but I feel sorry for them…But in the spring, many still survive, and they just start swarming on the sun-warmed window sashes... smile.gif

Just because you haven't heard or seen it, it doesn't mean it can't happen. And what does phobia have to do with it? are you scared?))) I don't!((( lol.gif

Oh, I wish I had a camera, otherwise I would have taken a picture especially for you, as they chop sausage with a hungry spring with the whole herd... True, they like sweet things sooooo much more, since the process of absorbing dishes with this taste is clearly increasing for them. Yes, and you can just see that they like sweets when they have already had enough, they will crawl away from it for a couple of centimeters, stand for half a minute, think about something about their rolleyes.gifown and turn back, it means to get enough… lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif So I think, for these ladybirds, fifteen years watching, crawling in the winter in the kitchen on the glass all the time, outside the windows of winter, snow lies, and they snoop, well, just obvious incredible some turns out… That's why in the Net, I decided to find out about them, what kind of animals are they?))) I ended up on et. Forum ... P. S. by the way, not from neighbors, not from friends, such a pilgrimage of ladybirds in winter in apartments is not observed... smile.gif

Bite and their larvae too-bite like a mosquito-personal experience

Why didn't you tell me earlier, otherwise I would have fed them sausage and meat. And then for aphids to run once in 2-3 days was somehow no time. lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif But seriously, about the sausage, well, okay, sweet, almost aphid, and sausage and confused.gif confused.gif

I think I unsubscribed there that not everything is useful for them, what they eat with hunger in the winter. I do not breed them, it's just a situation like this, sometimes you have breakfast in the kitchen and look at these hungry beetles, and it's a pity to become them, you will share some crumbs. And I put the sausage purely from the experiment, it's probably better if someone breeds meat, low-fat and unsalted, or not fat, unsalted unleavened cottage cheese with honey, only natural without preservatives. All sorts of "danisimo ""fructels" and "emerguts" will not work, there are preservatives, dyes, sweeteners and sweeteners ( in particular saccharin-och. harmful thing), modified starch, and other useless byaka. Then the curd can be rolled into small beads, the size of a match head, and strung on a twig, this twig and given to ladybirds as lunch.. Or raisins, soaked and mashed, well, and sweet fruits are different... In general, something like that... wink.gif

Bite and their larvae too - bite like a mosquito-personal experience

And under what circumstances? Did you plant them on your own or did you accidentally crawl in? And in general, how to explain their behavior? confused.gif Honestly, for me this (with sufficient experience of "communicating" with cows) is absolutely unexpected information, causing if not distrust, then bewilderment-for sure!

Good evening. It seems that someone looks here and can answer me
Only today I found a ladybug, or rather she found me. I don't know what to do with it. Will she be able to sleep until spring, or is it better to wake her up properly?, she's kind of sluggish.

18.02.2008 12:02, Трофим

It's better not to wake you up. Ladybug connecting rods-a terrible thing.

But seriously, why? You don't have anything to feed her anyway. And if you want to breed or make some experiments, then wait until spring is better, go to the field, pick up a dozen of them, bring them two aphids, or as already discussed here, other food and watch, breed.
