Clock House or Entomistics

Someone should answer this...
There is a dacha plot... And the house...

Let's just say that the land plot was obtained in 1989. There was a solid construction trailer (one-story) on it. In short, after 6 years they made a 2-storey house out of it, but the material for completing the FIRST floor is so-so. So, since about 1997, in the walls of the former trailer and sometimes on the second floor, I hear clicks that are eerily similar to the movement of a clock. The frequency is about 3-4 Hz, the number of knocks for one "trill" is somewhere 12-20, sometimes up to 30, the greatest activity is during the day, night and especially in the evening hours, the intervals between "trills" are very different, from a few seconds to several hours. The volume is also different. This year, compared to the previous ones, we hear very rarely and the trills are short and quiet. About 2 years ago, at night it knocked so loudly and for a long time that my mother did not grieve.

Are they larvae or adults? Nutcrackers? Terribly interesting. It's been knocking for 10 years...

Coordinates: Moscow Region, Istra district.

HOURS OF DEATH
If you are too lazy to read, then briefly: You are concerned about grinders - these are beetles that live in a tree (especially an old one)...

I've only ever heard this in wood (not chipped chocks).
Ugh.... and I, a fool, already Google the term "ENTOMISTICS" strained.
