Tell me what is known about the breeding of catocala fraxini.
1. How and where is the best place to place eggs (on leaves, on the ground, on paper, in bark cracks)? Humidity should be high?
2. Forage plants-poplar, ash, elm, maple? Any specific types of poplar, for example?
3. Timing of caterpillar emergence (Central Ukraine)? As well as pupation and breeding of butterflies.
4. How and where it pupates. There was information - "between the leaves" and "on the ground". Does the caterpillar need space before pupation (to run)?
Thank You
