Hello, I have a task to poison insects (hay eaters, leatherworms) on the balcony, which settled there during its non-glazing. The choice fell on the aquafumigator, as there are a lot of all kinds of cracks. But here's the problem - there are cracks under the window sill and threshold(balcony door and window connecting the kitchen and balcony). As I understand it, when the aquafumigator starts working, they can successfully leave the balcony and make their way to the kitchen. And the question itself is: how do I fix these cracks ? Which sealant should I choose(silicone, acrylic) or should I use mounting foam ? Can't the hay eaters feed on it ? The gap itself between the concrete structure and the PVC window sill.

Is your balcony glazed or not? As far as I understand, to achieve this effect, the room should be as impermeable as possible to the influx of fresh air. There will also be no impact on the masonry, so after some time the treatment will need to be repeated.
We have the same problem - hay eaters on the balcony, only they began to seep into the apartment in August.
