How to grow a woodcutter beetle larva?

Community and ForumInsects breedingHow to grow a woodcutter beetle larva?

I buried the cable from the Internet in the village yesterday, on the way I came across a root that I easily cut with a shovel and a large larva of 5-6 centimeters fell out of it. After Googling a bit, I came to the conclusion that this is most likely the larva of a woodcutter beetle, and I had the idea to grow a larva and see what kind of beetle is there. But I didn't find any clear information on how to raise a larva I hope they will help me here) Or is it still not worth starting because as I remember from school biology larvae can remain in this form for more than one year?

Restore what was before the intervention with a shovel. That is, pour the earth into some container, put the larva in its tunnel in the root, cover it with a second fragment of the root, tie this piece of root tightly with a strip of cloth and put it in the ground. Tighten the container with a tight mesh. Periodically water so that the soil does not dry out.
