Well done! yes.gif
For the first time, you can identify moths using the " School atlas-determinant.." By M. P. Cornelio. In the network, it is available in electronic form - you need to type library flora and fauna, when the page is fully loaded, the search window will appear. Enter the word school or the author's last name there... And you will be happy

Big black and white, this is a large perelivnitsa or ivovavya. This is a good find, I think it may not be known for the surroundings of Krasnoyarsk...
If you collected them in Krasnoyarsk, of course.

Although I am not familiar with the above-mentioned atlas specifically, I dare to doubt the happiness of using this class of literature to identify moths, especially the scoop confused.gif

Krasnoyarsk, to be more precise (for locals) - near Zykovo. We saw two more that day, but couldn't catch them.

This butterfly is expanding its range in Siberia both from the west and from the east. In Krasnoyarsk, probably the first option. But all registrations are important!
And don't give up, this is a great hobby, the main thing is to learn more!
All the books that exist are much worse than websites. Best Website -- german lepiforum, but it's in Europe, and you may have something else eastern. That's what you need to remember! Good luck to you, if anything - the forum will help! beer.gif

In addition to the scoops and part of the moth, you can determine it. Especially FOR A CHILD!!!

Vlad, isn't this Limenitis camilla??? Something for perelivnitsy too small will be (compare with urticaria) yes.gif

I think that you are right - there is no peephole on the wings, they do not overflow

The site is probably the best choice http://omflies.ru/

in Limenitis camilla-the posterior sling b. m. is smooth, and here we see a clear prong, just poorly eaten smile.gif

It is similar to the female iris iridescent, they do not shimmer. Just a small copy.

No, we already noted it below. Just on the periphery of the range, that's fine.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a peephole on the underside. It has been on the spread since June 26, I'll take it off and try to determine it myself + take a picture. Thank you all for responding so vividly! this is also inspiring smile.gif

Yes, the discovery of the Iris perelivnitsa near Krasnoyarsk can be considered a sensation. However, a good friend of mine and a tireless collector of butterflies, a few years ago caught a large perelivnitsa at his garden school in Magansky (a little east of Zykovo). He caught it with his hands and spoiled it badly. Being a man scrupulous about the quality of the material, he let her go, for which he received a "severe reprimand"from me. Last year, he was rehabilitated - in the Kuznetsk Alatau, in the district of Ivanovsky Lakes, on July 8, he caught a female.

But this is west of the Yenisei River, almost on the border with the Kemerovo region. So it is not clear where they come from: from the west or east?

Especially for A CHILD!!!

I am not a supporter of this approach (to define only somehow), probably because I myself went through the deplorable consequences of a child's definition based on a certain "school atlas". I hope that at least the images you specified are correct. But the main problem with such publications is that they usually include only a small part of the fauna. And according to the law of meanness, most of them come across non-included species. If you understand from the photos that most of the collected material is determined by that atlas, this changes things somewhat, but I personally would not call this method happiness.

Of course it's good, just the view spreads from west to east!
In old publications (somewhere in the 80s), I do not remember specifically, it is written that the species is widespread , but there is no species between the Ob and Transbaikalia!
And here, on you!

By the way, when I started studying butterflies in 1988, we didn't even have a poplar perelivnitsa in Snezhinsk! They started appearing in the two thousandth years, and now there are more of them than irises!
Also resettles!

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

picture: ________2020___1_3.jpg

--- Part One

I kept thinking about Yakutia again: go to the middle Verkhoyansk region, where the entomologist's foot has not yet set foot, but this covid… He canceled flights to the starting point, the village of Batagai-Alyt, and overland there in the summer-no way. So I decided to break through to the Magadan region, where the quarantine was less strict, only a two-day freshness test for covid was required. Well, I will finally visit Kapranovsky pass (point 4 on the map, others I will indicate with numbers in parentheses), which I have been dreaming about for so many years: the highlands of the Omsukchansky ridge, "adjacent" to Chukotka, promising butterflies not quite Magadan, and even to the Gusakov pass of the Delurencheng Mountains (what a name! 3), which is not far from Magadan, I'll go down – very high, too, chernoosypny, where the arcticus is not yet described subspecies and other specifics may be. I've been on it "onslaught" twice, and this time I'll live and look like it there!
And then I'll hitchhike to Yakutia-I'll pick up where I can, and stop for 3-4 days in the village of Teply Klyuch (9), near which "incomprehensible" yolks are found: something between khiale and alta, a potentially new species, I'll catch a series, I'll send one "yolk" specialist, who asked them very much… In Yakutsk I will arrive (11), in Chochur Muran favorite I will stop ( https://ussuri555.livejournal.com/1826.html ), in the district pokollektiruyu, and then by flight - to the Khabarovsk Territory in the continuation of wanderings.
Hitchhiking is familiar to me, and I even love it, and I once wrote an essay about one of my trips to them in these parts: https://proza.ru/2012/12/08/72.
In general, there should be a plan! And I came on June 10, two days before my departure, to the main covid laboratory of my native Lipetsk to do a test, and the girl at the reception desk said: "I had to register two weeks in advance, there are no windows!.." I showed her the certificate, which the Altai University again provided me with, with a request to assist the entomological expedition (I give it back they get a part of the fees for this every time), began to talk confusedly about its significance for science... "Don't worry! Let's look for a window... " said the girl. "Got it!" Come today at 15.00". I came, passed the test, but the result was still not ready the next day, and they promised to send it to me on the way to the smartphone...

picture: ________2020___2_2.jpg
Here, they sent it on the 12th-while I was traveling by bus to Moscow, heading to Sheremetyevo Airport.

picture: ________2020___3_5.jpg
Arrived in Sheremetyevo in the evening. Only Terminal B was working, and it was almost deserted. A huge Boeing was carrying only 30 passengers to Magadan with me! "Why drive such a plane for this bunch?.." - I asked the flight attendant. "The order of Rospotrebnadzor, so that there is a distance!" - she smiled. The nearest passenger was about 10 meters away. I lay down on three seats, barely able to sleep for most of the 9-hour flight-awakened by the thought of the upcoming control at Magadan Airport (1)...
And it came. We, the passengers of the flight, were met at the entrance to the terminal by men in black. Riot police?.. The men in black led everyone into a large room. One of them (the boss?) he spoke about the quarantine decree of the Magadan government… The men in black sat down at a row of tables. You had to come over, sit on the chair opposite, fill out a questionnaire and show the test. "Troikas of the 37th, now they will send me to the sawmill..." - I sneered to myself gloomily... "Ento-mo-lo-gic expedition..." - the man in black began to read my certificate. "What is this? "" What, you don't know what entomology is? I'm going to study butterflies and beetles. Well, I will still catch spiders, although this is already arachnology..." "Vo, he needs to come to my dacha. The spiders are fucked up! " - his colleague threw from the next table. The men in black laughed... " Well, this is the first time I've seen this.... a passenger! - said my controller. - Come on, drive your Gusakov to infect bears! Only now, after wintering, they are very hungry..." The men in black laughed again. He didn't even look at my test, and I was the first passenger out of the room!
At the Magadan airport.

picture: ________2020___4_3.jpg
I called a friend in the nearby village of Palatka (2): "Control passed! You can come pick me up." She promised to take me to the Gusakov Pass, on her Toyota ancient mikrik, and pick me up in three days. I went to the airport hotel to book a room for the 16th – well, to wash and warm up in it after Gusakov, and the next morning to go by regular bus to Kapranovsky Pass, but a man in black was sitting in the lobby, and the receptionist said gloomily: "There are no seats! Everyone is under arrest!" Under those who didn't have a test: two weeks of isolation at their own expense, hmm. In another hotel – the same thing... Well, I'll spend the night in a tent near the airport. I spent the night in it on my last visit to the Magadan region, 10 years ago - in the pines just behind the banner, which is in the photo above. Not detected by anyone. Only in the morning some guy: "Oh, sorry..." I was sitting at the entrance to the tent. "Nothing! I'm a tourist... "
Another photo from the airport.

picture: ________2020___5_3.jpg
A friend came and brought me to the Tent with a capital letter. I was surprised by the village. Such changes in 19 years that I haven't seen him! Statues, fountains, new asphalt… And before that, there was devastation. This is a local businessman Alexander Basansky, the owner of the local refining plant (producing gold bars) and several other enterprises, all restored and built as a patron of the arts. There would be more such people in Russia! I didn't have time to take a picture of the village, and here is one of the frames of my friend's report: https://fishki.net/2074474-palatka---poselo...nyj-udivit.html. Street art from Basansky.

picture: ________2020___6_2.JPG
In a local supermarket, I bought food, bought gas in cans for my camping tiles, then a friend drove me for a long time along a difficult dirt road to the Gusakov Pass. I present her: Oksana Savenko, with her son Sasha.

picture: ________2020___7_2.jpg
"Well, how will you be here? Snow, bears came out of hibernation... " - Oksana anxiously told me. "I will… I'm a tourist! I'll climb the mountain, stand there in a tent, walk along the ridge ... " And so I did. I climbed a ridge that rose above the forest zone, where only a cedar elfin was here and there. Viidno will be around! Oh, it was hard to climb up with a big load. The backpack weighed 40 kilograms, and the slope was 35 degrees... I climbed, stopping many times and breathing heavily. These are the views that opened up from there. Spring is very late… Winter!

picture: ________2020___8_2.jpg
I found a more or less flat place in the" depression " on the ridge (I had to dig a little...), put a tent on it. Well, firewood for the fire was collected from the dead and unexpectedly dry roots of the elfin.

picture: ________2020___9_3.jpg
The food is already being prepared… You didn't have to bring gas here!

picture: ________2020___10_2.jpg
The morning was sunny, and soon the air was warm… Wow, I'm fishing! I followed the ridge. And butterflies – zero! I've seen Callidice's whiteflies a couple of times, that's all. I sat down on a warm rock and made "Kolyma ice cream", putting firn from one of the snowfields of the district on a piece of chocolate. A more delicious version of it: firn with condensed milk, but I didn't take it with me on the tour…

picture: ________2020__11_2.jpg
I walked along the ridge for about four kilometers, but the butterflies never showed up. A small helicopter flew down the valley below the mountains (or so it seemed...) – probably at the Basansky artel located in the district.

picture: ________2020___12_2.jpg
The next morning I decided to take a "walk" downstairs – it's warmer there, there's more chance of butterflies. The sun was warm, I stripped down to my T-shirt, walked through dry marys and rocky beds of streams, but I came across only a few white nainas. The bear's tracks met in the snow. Yesterday, when I walked here to the mountain, they were not there! I took a picture of the dicenter. Local Eversmann sailboats are bred on it. A lot of them happen on the Gusakov Pass, and already in mid-June they appear, but this season, alas, was not my season…

picture: ________2020___13.jpg
Photos from the right season. In 2001, a week later, eversmanns were flying here in full force, there were blackheads of several species, eneis… Organized an expedition for Japanese "butterfly people". On my left, next to me, is the president of the Lepidopteran Society of Japan, Mayumi Takahashi.

picture: ________2020___14_2.jpg
The next day I walked along the ridge again, at lunchtime I went down with my things – Oksana should arrive... And again there were only a few naina and kallidice butterflies. I found a small-stony black scree facing south, with a lot of khokhlatok Gorodkov. Arcticus station, its food plant, but it never appeared. But they caught it once in the Magadan region, not very far from these places, but whether the arcticus did not hatch out yet because of the late spring, or whether it is not quite continental for them because of the cold sea, which is not so far away, is a mystery…

picture: ________2020___15_3.jpg
Oksana arrived, took your tourist and forbade him to stand in a tent at the airport. "You'll spend the night in my office!" She works as an inspector in the regional fish protection service, so she brought me to the office, where I spent the night on a soft sofa, and in the morning there was a supermarket again, where I was even more loaded with food, and was taken by my guardian to the airport. I'm waiting for the bus… Suitable shift work. "Magadan-Omsukchan" – in front of the cab. "Is this a bus...?" I ask the driver who got out of it. "He's the one!" Got into the kung with a backpack and a bag, sat on a soft seat, and among 12 (approximately) passengers, in a half-empty cabin, looking at a video monitor with a movie, rushed to Kapranovsky pass.

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

Part Two

picture: ________2020___16_2.jpg
And Kamaz really raced! I understood why our guys always win the Camel Trophy. Trees flashed by outside the window, passing cars were left behind, and the vakhtovka smoothly, slightly swaying, raced and raced. After 7 hours, three-quarters of the way was covered, which a normal bus would have taken much longer. We stopped "for a smoke break" at a dilapidated village, where there were such inscriptions.

picture: ________2020___17_2.jpg
Two more hours of travel – and Kapranovsky pass! Monument to the geologist Kapranov, after whom it was named, who froze here on June 13, 1949-just 4 days before the date of my arrival!

picture: ________2020___18_2.jpg
It's closer… It is clear that Kapranov was a cheerful man. Peace be upon you.

picture: ________2020___19_3.jpg
And I went on a rocky dirt road to the mountain that was right above the monument. In the winter, I looked at some object on the satellite map on this mountain. Like home… Communication station? There were some of them in Soviet times, they broadcast a TV show. 25 years ago, they abandoned them all… He even wrote an essay about one of them, near Susuman: https://proza.ru/2015/02/23/157. In the station building you can stay, walk around the area… More spacious than in a tent, and it seems safer-you will have time to react to the bear, if anything. I even took a large piece of polyethylene to tighten the window in the selected room, if it was suddenly broken. The driver of the" bus "confirmed to me at one of the stations on the way:" Yes, a communication station! But the metalheads took it apart last year... " Oh, bad luck. But maybe there are some other buildings there – we'll see... I walked and walked up the mountain. Polar prednochye had almost daytime visibility (pictured).

picture: ________2020___20_2.jpg
And here is the communication station appeared ... There are buildings!

picture: ________2020___21_2.jpg
He came closer… Trailers with broken glass in the windows, snowdrifts up to the ceiling, a dilapidated house in which snow also towered. I could have removed it, of course, because the shovel was lying on the street, but the smell of rot in these buildings was so bad, and their appearance was so terrible, that I preferred to spend the night on the rocks on the foam away from the station. Pulling on warm clothes and two sleeping bags. I'm not Kapranov. I was well prepared for the hike. At night there was a slight minus, but only the nose froze…

picture: ________2020___22_2.jpg
In the morning I walked near the station and realized that there was nothing to catch here. Subnival zone! It's too high, the butterflies are cold here, but do spiders run around - I caught a few for an arachnologist from Altai State University. And how did people live and work on this hilltop? I decided to go back down there and seek my fortune somewhere, camping out. I walked to the pass…

picture: ________2020___23_2.jpg
I picked up Douglas on the way.

picture: ________2020___24_3.jpg
The spider…

picture: ________2020___25_3.jpg
I went to the pass. The sun is warm, but there are no butterflies… I went along the road in the direction of Magadan. Shrubby tundra with lawns and flowers on them… No butterflies! Well I've seen nain a couple of times… Mda, the season is late here, and even most of the butterflies in the preimaginal stages left for the second wintering after the cold spring. I already had such a season in the Magadan region: after a cold, long spring, the butterflies did not fly out – I caught 50 pieces of "background" in three weeks of the expedition… Standing somewhere here in a tent and waiting for the butterflies to fly out didn't seem like the best idea, so I decided to go to the buildings that flashed in the window of the kung "vakhtovka" 10 kilometers before the pass – I'll try to base there!
My way…

picture: ________2020___26_2.jpg
There were trailers, the dog flew out, started barking at me... From one there was a" shabby "kind of guy:" What do you need? "" Can I put a tent here? It's a bit scary for me to be standing in the mountains..." "And who are you? "" Entomologist. I study butterflies." "Let's go to that trailer over there, sit down, and I'll warm up the tea..." I went into the proposed trailer (the one with the red stripe in the photo), and there-apartments: wooden bunks with mattresses and blankets, a table, a curtain, everything is neat and clean. You can live!

picture: ________2020___27_2.jpg
Well, I went to the staff car to drink tea and get acquainted with the owner. He introduced himself as Alexander, 56 years old, guards the property of the road section here, which owns these trailers. Kapranovsky pass – one of the snowiest in winter in Siberia, the road is often swept and cleaned by the site's vehicles. Photos from the Internet.

picture: ________2020___28_2.jpg
There is also a concrete building for car repairs and even a mobile phone point.

picture: ________2020___29_3.jpg
Lone entomologist's shelter.

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

Part Three

picture: ________2020___30_2.jpg
I decided to walk around the area for a few days, based in a trailer… Sasha (as he immediately began to call him) allowed me to live in it as long as I wanted, but warned me that they had a bad boss – he could drive me away. "You can push him something about science if he comes!""Let's try..." On the same day I went up to the near ridge. View of the plot from above.

picture: ________2020___31_2.jpg
The next morning I went on the road towards Magadan. That dog, Bella, followed me... I drove it away – the area is full of bears, and this animal can run after the dog, and it (except for some hunting ones) in such cases runs to the person… Bella didn't give up, so she followed me around all day, and once she sniffed the air for a long time, looking down into the valley of the stream, I didn't go there.

picture: ________2020___32_2.jpg
Landscape along the road…

picture: ________2020___33_2.jpg
And where are the butterflies? It's the third day I've been walking around the area, but-only infrequent naina and callidice, well, I caught two black Fletcher's today and three mother-of-pearl Freya ... "This Covid can be seen and spread to butterflies!" - joked to himself. Well, come on: at least I shoot landscapes, I admire nature… What is said! Are butterflies the only meaning and happiness of all my campaigns? And not in these landscapes, not in the grandiose nature of the mountains and taiga? In this case, of course. And butterflies give an additional reason for hiking. With them, my hobby from a young age, it is much more interesting to walk in the mountains!
I'm on the crest of a ridge…

picture: ________2020___34_2.jpg
Walking in these mountains was very easy. Directly opposite the site was an old geological road that looked like a new one and rolled smoothly over the mountain blanket, branching out, climbing ridges and descending into valleys. It was very convenient to walk along it – walking is almost like somewhere on the terrencourt near Kislovodsk. Butterflies would only be here…

picture: ________2020___35_2.jpg
Well, the first one finally managed to capture: mother-of-pearl Freya.

picture: ________2020___36_2.jpg
Scree… On similar islands in Yakutia, there is an arcticus. In the winter, I looked at satellite maps of these places in Yandex: they seemed to be the same black scree as it should be for this species, and I imagined its Magadan subspecies that had not yet been discovered by anyone, but they turned out to be lighter here, and also made of large stone – which is not suitable for the Arctic, I couldn't find it here…

picture: ________2020___37_2.jpg
Another satellite "hoax". "That's where the black stone scree is!" - I thought in winter, and these are lichens.

picture: ________2020___38_2.jpg
Traces of geologists…

picture: ________2020___39_3.jpg
Closer. Rock samples they left here for some reason.

picture: ________2020___40_2.jpg
And this is an incomprehensible unit. An explosive car? Tell me who knows.

picture: ________2020___41_2.jpg
On the fourth day, a dark brown butterfly "took off" from the crest of the ridge and flew down in a ragged flight… Eversmann's female! There may be a subspecies unknown to science!.. I ran after her, my feet sliding on the grass of the slope, almost falling. She flew away… He returned to the ridge. Oh, what a beauty!

I came here the next day, caught a male Eversmann in the hollow below, and the second one left… Two callidice whiteflies fluttered in the rocks – I took a picture. At lunchtime, the sky frowned, and I headed home. Near the site-Kamaz, Sasha came up to me: "The chief has arrived!" The one from the staff car comes out... " Are you an entomologist? "harsh. "Yes, I'm... well, an arachnologist! I catch spiders... " - I answer, worried. Then it suddenly dawned: "Do you know that dangerous spiders live in your kitchen?" (That is – in the staff car, where there is also a kitchen for cooking food… I'm not lying. I saw some kind of big black spider in it – it can be dangerous, after all!) “what?.. Really dangerous? " - the chief's face showed surprise. "Yes... here's a look," I took out a bottle of pickled spiders from my backpack, " this species is a variant of the black widow!" The specimen did look like a black widow, except the spots were yellow. I caught it right next to the trailer... " Holy shit! That's how you drink tea – and bam!.. " - the boss looked at me already somewhat dumbfounded. "Let me live here for another three days, I'll catch all the dangerous spiders!"… Until you catch them all, don't leave!" the boss laughed. I carefully put the bottle in the pocket of my backpack. All-out war was declared on the local spiders.

The penultimate photo somehow "popped up" from the third part... Inserted it. I'll publish the fourth one tomorrow.

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

Part Four

picture: ________2020___43_2.jpg
I spent two more days "walking" in the area, added three eversmann males to the catch, a ragged yellow nast, did not see any other interesting butterflies, and decided to move on. I went out on June 24 at 10 am with my things on the highway near the site: in 20 minutes there will be the same bus - "vakhtovka" back to Magadan-I will take it to the fork in the direction of Yakutia and then I will hitchhike. Exactly on schedule, a "shift" appeared, I climbed into the kung, we rush... after 150 kilometers, on a "smoke break", the driver suggested that I go further around the turn to Magadan: there the regular bus to Sinegorye will go towards me soon, I will be transferred to it, and I will reach Debin (point 5 on the map) - significantly having advanced to Yakutia. I agreed. The bus was very late, alas, and I drove after the turn as much as 250 km, meeting two rather big forest fires along the way (I attach one), but in the end I was still transferred to the promised transport (already ordinary, something like Manna) - the road back, then another 300 kilometers, and I was in Debine!

picture: ________2020___44_3.jpg
Arrived there at 9 pm. A semi-abandoned village, which is a lot on the Kolyma River, an old bus station building (pictured), a highway nearby, and I'm trying to vote here… No one, alas, stops. Gone are the days in these parts when every first car stopped at the sight of a person standing near the highway: whether it was day or evening – you didn't even have to raise your hand! Now everyone is driving by… An hour and a half later, at dusk, I saw two large black balls, one larger and one smaller, roll out of the forest 300 meters ahead of me. Dogs do not have a spherical shape… I knew who they were. It looks like a dump or garbage containers are there-Kolyma bears like to visit such places. I decided not to take any chances, entered the building, closed the door with a stick, spread foam on a lonely bench in the passenger room and drifted off to sleep.

picture: ________2020___45_2.jpg
I slept peacefully, only in the early morning someone tried the door, woke up at eight, packed my things and went out on the highway to continue "voting". Again, no one stopped... " Kolyma is dead! an elderly woman passing by said to me. – They don't take anyone now, you can stand for half a day!" But suddenly a regular bus drove up to the bus station on Yagodnoye (6) – 70 km in the direction of Yakutia. So, I sit down, how long can I stand here!.. I'll catch butterflies in the Yagodnoye area, where I haven't been before: it's too low there, the forest is solid, but what if there are interesting glades with special butterflies? That's really Berry in the window… And then there are forest fires!

picture: ________2020___46_2.jpg
In Yagodnoye, I saw a flyer of a local hostel on a pole, decided to stay there, and called… A man's voice on the phone called out the address and told me to check into any room, and the speaker would be here soon. The hostel was nearby, entered the entrance…

picture: ________2020___47_2.jpg
Then go to the entrance hall of the hostel. Yes, it is intended for entomologists!

picture: ________2020___48_3.jpg
Oh, the whole country is coming to visit us!

picture: ________2020___49_2.jpg
And such "entomologists" stop here…

picture: ________2020___50_2.jpg
The hostel was empty. Take the dishes, LCD TV… However, you can't get very far in these parts – stealing is pointless. I looked into one of the two available rooms (pictured)… But I chose another one: a big one, without "skins" and with a refrigerator. The one with whom I called up came: Stepan, about 20 years old, said that this is a suite: 1300 rubles. per day, and a room with beds – 700. I chose a suite.

picture: ________2020___51_3.jpg
And you did the right thing! The second room was soon occupied by Bratva... I put them in quotation marks, because they were not organized criminal groups, but just sitting there. In the evening, I went to the kitchen (pictured) to drink tea, and the two of them are sitting, "painted", indulging in beer and vodka… One knife was immediately removed from the table on the windowsill, he poured me a beer: "Come on with us!" It is undesirable to refuse in such situations, he took a sip, wanted to go to the store and bring the common one to the table, but they are already closed... "Don't be shy, we'll treat you!" – says this one. We were sitting across from him, we started talking, and he finally told us that he was in the zone for murder. "My daughter was beaten up by a freak, I went to him, well, I beat him a little, and he died..." More than once I met killer prisoners in my travels, and everyone said that they were not very guilty: one defended himself, the other killed a finished freak, and so on. Vodka was splashed on me… The second one, who was sitting a little away from me, asks:: "And who are you? "" Entomologist. I'm studying butterflies!" You don't look like an entomologist..." And starts filming me on my smartphone. "Why are you filming me, did I let you?" - I start to get angry. I am quite choleric and sometimes aggressive - my disadvantage is... " Yes, you don't look like an entomologist!" – he smiles, and again clicks on the smartphone. "Stop filming that," I told him sternly. The second one: "Seryoga, stop messing around with dope!.." Well, in general, I defused the situation. I went to my room. They were there until two in the morning. Yes, it's good that I didn't live in that "shared" room – I don't know what the sequel would have been…

picture: ________2020___52_2.jpg
However, it is impossible to make noise and hooliganism here, because…

picture: ________2020___53_2.jpg
The next morning I went to study the local nature. Forest and forest all around, I walked along the dirt road between the larches, watched the same frey and nain, sometimes white bryony flew, black embla fluttered… Boredom! Well, here is such a charming chipmunk captured.

picture: ________2020___54_2.jpg
Anemones sometimes came across… At this time, it would be time for them to bloom. Spring is very late.

picture: ________2020___55_2.jpg
Some kind of sawyere…

picture: ________2020___56_2.jpg
On the second day, I walked through the forest in a different place, along the rocky riverbed… The same types of butterflies, well, mother-of-pearl angarensis caught and a couple of raspberries. I removed the logo.

picture: ________2020___57_2.jpg
So-we need to get out of here! In the morning, I packed up my things, added stories to the hostel wall, and went out to vote on the highway near the gas station just outside Yagodnoye…

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

Part Five

picture: ________2020___58_2.jpg
I voted for about five minutes – the UAZ stopped, which was going in the opposite direction, the guy driving in it, said that it was better to do it 6 kilometers further along the highway. There is a spring with delicious water there, but people are slow to get it-it will be easier to leave from there. He offered me a ride there. Agreed… I gave you a free ride. No, Kolyma is not dead yet! But, damn it, there were bear tracks near the garbage barrel that was standing right next to the road! I took a bottle of concentrated ammonia out of my backpack. It would be necessary to make a sprinkler, otherwise you will unscrew it for now… But I didn't vote for long. A van truck stopped (what is in the photo), the driver went out to the water to the source, I went to him: "Take a tourist for some distance in the direction of Yakutia!" "I'm going to Khandyga ..." This is three quarters of the way – only 410 km will remain to Yakutsk! "Take it to the Warm Key!" (70 kilometers before reaching Khandyga). "I will go for three days, I have a sunbed in the cab, and where will you spend the night?.. ""There is a tent! ""Sit down..." That's lucky! In general, of course, it would be possible to get off somewhere earlier on the highway: under Ust-Nera or in the mountains of Suntar-Hayat, there is fishing, but July is coming soon, those strange yolks in the Warm Key probably fly, and in the mountains there is nothing in this season, and it's better not to stop…

picture: ________2020___59_2.jpg
The driver was 63, his name was Ali, originally from Dagestan. He works as a trucker here, carries groceries to stores along the highway. He told me about Dagestan on the road… I'm talking about my hikes and butterflies. And so we rode. I wanted to take a picture of Ali on one of the posts, but I didn't allow it. As, however, and all my previous characters-except Oksana. There were more forest fires. The road was often crossed by moose driven by them.

picture: ________2020___60_2.jpg
In one place, Ali pulled a car out of a swamp, at the request of three young Yakuts. She left the track…

picture: ________2020___61.jpg
We spent the night on a grader patch in the woods and mountains near the highway 100 kilometers before reaching Ust-Nera, by lunch we drove about 200 more and stopped at the Bryungade River (point 8 on the map). Ali grayling decided to catch it, well, spend the night here… Great! I'll do entomology in this place. I was here 10 years ago with the Volgograd butterfly collector Alexey Samus (right in the photo) and our" field " driver Andrey Merzhoev, from Ust-Nera (left). Oh, time flies!

picture: ________2020___62_2.jpg
But there were no butterflies again… No, obviously Covid hit them too! Only icarus flew occasionally and naina-caught a little... Ali fished out three grayling plants in two hours. It is also not enough for this very fishy river. And soon another company was formed here. We met with geologists. They have been standing in this place for two weeks now, and they will not be thrown into the mountains higher up the Bryngade… An all-terrain vehicle, they say ,was "hijacked" for some kind of emergency. They live in tents, go fishing... they are tired of such a "Resort" – they don't have the strength! We had tea together, then something stronger. Ali had... (I still captured him-he was wearing a cap).

picture: ________2020___63_2.jpg
In the morning we drove to a gas station near the abandoned village of Kyubeme.

picture: ________2020___64_2.jpg
Then the Suntar Hayat Mountains began. At this point, Ali stopped to take another bite. And I decided to take a walk around – because of the gloomy sky without uncovering the net…

picture: ________2020___65_2.jpg
Here is such ice was nearby.

picture: ________2020___66_3.jpg
I went out to the scree. Golden Root… Phoebus caterpillars feed on it in the Mom Mountains (my report last year from there: https://ussuri555.livejournal.com/1826.html ), and maybe - and here they eat it. Phoebus, however, is very rare on Suntar Hayat.

picture: ________2020___67_2.jpg
Polar poppies. They bloomed a little late this year.

picture: ________2020___68_2.jpg
We drove on…

picture: ________2020___69_2.jpg
Yakut serge hitching posts with ribbons in honor of the nearby spring appeared close to the exit from the mountains.

picture: ________2020___70_3.jpg
Water was collected in it…

picture: ________2020___71_2.jpg
In the evening, we arrived in Teply Klyuch (point 9). The LDPR flag was flying at the entrance to the village…

The ending follows

And between anthrax and other terrible events - something about beetles!

23.12.2020 21:20, Wild Yuri

I overdid it... There will be dangerous events.
I didn't catch any beetles. Only near Yakutsk a little. Moreover, one barbel, possibly a new species. Danilevsky will write the article. I'll give you a separate post on this bug.

I WENT TO MAGADAN AGAIN AND HITCHHIKED TO YAKUTSK!

Part six. Ending

picture: ________2020___72_2.jpg
I arrived in Teply Klyuch on June 30 and immediately checked into a hotel that was located in a large two-story apartment. 1000 rubles per day, private room with TV, shared kitchen with refrigerator. Pretty good conditions. I asked the hostess about the LDPR flag... "Yes, we have their activists – they show off!" In general, he noted, the LDPR is very popular in the Far East. Maybe because Zhirinovsky promised to double everyone's salaries here and exempt them from taxes if he comes to power… Not a bad idea.
Photo of one of the streets of Teploi Klyuch: a typical local development.

picture: ________2020___73_2.jpg
In the morning, I went to catch the yolks of those mentioned above, cherished ones. Here is such a swamp walker saw not far from the hotel.

picture: ________2020___74_2.jpg
The place was nearby, I walked for about five minutes… It's here. "With a greedy hand, squinting at the inscription, he pulls out of the net the dearest yolk-which managed to grab, however, deadly bacilli from the feed plant, puts it in a bag… Two days later, an anthrax epidemic begins in the village." Plot for the story… I'll write to you sometime. With a rapid sprint, almost "fitting" into the fence, I raced after this very yolk. I took it!..

picture: ________2020___75_2.jpg
Here it is. Specimens spread out by the same specialist: my catch in this place this season – I caught a lot of them. Something like hiala, but it also resembles Alta, very large. Even if the hyals are an unknown subspecies, it's also great. Baha'evi... no, of course: shavlovi! I would very much like the taxon to be named after my wonderful friend: https://ussuri555.livejournal.com/3532.html.

picture: ________2020___76_2.jpg
Other different butterflies also flew in this place, not individually: the plain is here, spring is warmer, and they did not go to the second diapause. Only all the usual types: selena mother-of-pearl, Amanda golubyanka, peat yolk, tullia hayweed, hawthorn (pictured)… Stop. But it would be necessary to deal with it. I sent Japanese hawthorns from Sakhalin, and they described a new type of butterfly from them!

I was included in the article as a catcher of some of the material, and I gave comments on the course of its preparation… What if these billions of Yakut hawthorns (the number every year is like snow!) are this new type of asahi?! I would have to figure it out... I caught them, looked for caterpillars, but I didn't find them.

picture: ________2020___77_2.jpg
I spent two days walking in the same area, got tired of the background butterflies, caught enough of these pseudochials, and decided to go 40 kilometers in the direction of Suntar Hayat – where there were other biotopes: forest hills, a rocky stream valley with all sorts of herbs… Caught a truck outside the village on the highway: the guy is a showman, we are going, the smog outside the window is growing, and in the area of the hills – the forest is burning! Well, I came out a little further, at the valley of another stream. There are no butterflies! Komarov nema! For the first time in the Yakut taiga, I walked naked to the waist. Unbelievably… It can be seen that he was also strong here, killed all the mosquitoes and drove out the butterflies. I voted soon and went home.

picture: ________2020___78_2.jpg
In the morning-rain, immediately after it went along the road along the Eastern Khandyga River, two kilometers from the Warm Key.

picture: ________2020___79_2.jpg
Wow: Edelweiss! It turns out that they also grow on the plain.

picture: ________2020___80_2.jpg
Yy... and then the bears appeared! Previously, they were not near the Warm Key… Maybe they're driving fires. This animal is really dangerous in Yakutia. Here's a fresh story: https://siberiantimes.com/other/others/news...RzX9UMEaiiGF-ek. But what happened a few years ago with my friend (Yuriy Shevnin-here on the forum) and his friend, catching butterflies in the Magadan region: https://proza.ru/2013/09/14/961. I didn't go very far on the road, so I preferred to return to Sibirskaya.

picture: ________2020___81_3.jpg
In the evening, helicopter pilots settled in the hotel. They are putting out forest fires in the area. In 2-3 days they will fly to Sangar, they can take me there for so much. A village on the Lena River, where hardly anyone caught butterflies, but I was already running out of time, I had a ticket on hand from Yakutsk to Khabarovsk-eh ... In the morning I packed up my things and went out to a cafe near the highway to catch a ride in the direction of Yakutsk. Cars come here often, and in half an hour-caught! Passenger car, taxi driver, brought a passenger to Teply Klyuch from Khandyga (point 10), goes back… Rate: 3500 rubles. Please take me for 1000 ... Agreed. Otherwise, I would have gone back empty. And even to one of the local hotels brought. The same 1000 rubles for a room, I spent the night, and the next morning I took a minibus taxi with several passengers to Yakutsk for the same 3500 rubles.
Crossing the Aldan River, view of the "double" of our ferry.

picture: ________2020___82_2.jpg
Then there was a blurry road… It's common here in the summer. They stood for about an hour.

picture: ________2020___83_2.jpg
He ambushed the horse…

picture: ________2020___84_3.jpg
Then there was the Lena River crossing, and-Chochur Muran! Banquet my friend Roman Shavlov, which is mentioned in the link above (here-in the photo), arranged for me on arrival ... The author's complexion managed, alas, to recover during sitting in transport and light promenades under a Warm Key.
