My verdict: C. lineosa is still :) Now once again both species gradually completed on the site and found thatCechenena subangustataI have the same collection of lineozy and it is very different. Even outwardly it is much larger and almost green :)

No, it's ok with wings, this is female, just spent much time in an envelope which resulted in such abdomen flattened sides.

Here's what Pittaway says (no chance for us to see underside as I see):
A variable species in forewing upperside ground colour and pattern intensity, with some specimens approaching Cechetra scotti and others Cechetra subangustata. Distinguishable from the former by the less intense green band along the costa and from the latter by the orange (not green) tone of the undersides of the wings. Forewing upperside with full complement of seven oblique postmedian lines; lines 3 and 4 the most conspicuous, the other five being narrower and subequal in intensity. There is considerable variation in the brightness of the spaces between the bands (and hence the prominence of the bands). Fresh specimens are decidedly green, fading to brown with age and wear. Forewing underside ground colour orange-beige. Hindwing upperside pale buff median band of variable width, but never heavily suffused with green (as in Cechetra subangustata).
I'm totally stuck with these "green" Sphingidae from Borneo!!! Half of features have don't work or have a minor meaning.

The wing shape is absolutely abnormal. Cechetra subangustata seems not to be described in China, not a problem with hawkmoths though.

I've got a few lineosa in my collection, successfully identified. Am to check later. Weird lineosa imho.

The pattern looks quite similar, the wing shape is different.

Isn't that Cechenena subangustata, by chance?

I'll pop by, Dmitry ;--)

Could help out with camera, sadly live far in the Urals )
Love littles :D

16.12.2013 9:08, Dmitriy Pozhogin

I could add two hundred more species, personally. Not good with camera though. Lots of littles.

They seem to be unaware in China that hawkmoths shouldn't be laid on the card wings folded like butterflies: abdomen gets flattened on sides, no chance to get it spread back properly. Woe-catchers...... Got such specimens in my collection, sadly, grumpy then :)

14.12.2013 13:15, Peter Khramov

Next should be 10,000, clever ;--)

14.12.2013 11:33, Alexandr Zhakov

Won't get 5,000 till the end of the year, gonna do our best in the next. :)

14.12.2013 5:54, Peter Khramov

Well yeah! Could be new from China!) Anyway, 4,000 is better than 3,000 :--)

14.12.2013 2:07, Alexandr Zhakov

You're welcome :) Pity no new species for the website. Didn't notice we reached 4,000 more species. :)

14.12.2013 1:47, Peter Khramov

More!

14.12.2013 1:26, Alexandr Zhakov Corrected data.

Not identified Cechenena lineosa / Confidently identified / Alexandr Zhakov.
