Thank you!

Ivan! If you want to go tell one from the other, you see the top of the wings. The very name uglokrylnitsa apparently given by the word of the corners. So uglokrylnitsy Polygonia c-album more rounded corners of the wings. In a-aureum, they are more acute. Compare pictures, as recommended.
Another difference. In uglokrylnitsy c white on the hind wings round yellow spots, while the gold-uglokrylnitsy with rear wings these spots golubenky, moving to the front wings. The spots in most cases are clearly visible. Look, once is enough to compare these two types, and remember

Species-aureum (c-gold), because With shaped as letters on the underside do not really white, and yellow (gold). It is really brilliant! In the photo, especially taken with a flash, it is not very noticeable, but it is alive with contrast and white can be seen well. It was one of my first questions when I saw her alive DV - and different from ours with white? :)) Explained. And another striking characteristic difference - at the outer edge of the golden PCs with large and sharp tooth, especially in the form pryeri. This is clearly seen on any photo from our gallery)

In c-aureum front of the wings, in the dark areas of the picture, on the edge of the wings, "metal" scales, from here and probably the species name.

Prompt please, what is the difference and c-album c-aureum?

07.06.2011 16:19, Peter Khramov

Ok, moved.

I might have fouled up, but I named it as Polygonia c-album. Maybe, this took the previous photo name... shot location is right though. Correct, please :).

Seems like author's blunder. Adding first Lycaena in a row he put there also Polygonia. Not possible to identify so wrongly.

People, it's named such because of technical bug or what?
