Community and Forum → Blog → Butterflies and music: Reveille / Butterfly Convict

Rap metal was born in the late 1980s when rappers and metal fans were still violently fighting head-to-head. Music however leaves no place for limits and fights, so today those who love rap metal have a whole range of bands to enjoy, say, Reveille from Massachusetts, which despite sadly broke up in 2003 still released a couple of albums. The debut one, Laced (1999), opens with the “Butterfly”, which is genuinely surprising to meet such ethereal things in this mean sound and vociferation.
The young progressive rock band Butterfly Convict from Long Island isn't well-known, except that just as Reveille they've already broken up last summer having the same two albums released. Albeit songs may sound a little bit over dramatic, it seems that guys could eventually make up something really interesting. Till then, sweat and tears in Opus One from their debut homonymous album Butterfly Convict.
