Liparus sp ?
The Carpathians . Body length 20 mm.

Yes, very interested! I caught the same one under the Black Cool, but Filimonov (he, however, has more sawyers...) I didn't dare bring it to the form.

I have similar liparuses from Bieszczad, identified as L. glabrirostris Kust., but their color is black, not brownish like yours. But this may not be an important color reproduction...

KDG, do you have any ideas about my Tanzanian? shuffle.gif

There are some, but I want to check them out. The beetle of Callichromatini and their like mud (both genera and species), especially in Africa. Can you wait?" smile.gif

16.03.2007 15:03, Bad Den

Of course I'll wait.

Thank you Elizar !
I too, most of all was inclined to this kind! liparus in the Carpathians seems to be several species. And the backlight really failed, the yellowness breaks through.

So the beetle is called Mecosaspis whytei. The view is not completely correct. A colleague to whom I showed your photo refused to give an iron conclusion on the picture.
About the bug itself, if anything - I'll drop a line in PM.

Nilson
and I caught a couple somewhere near Chernaya, and another 9 km from Bystrica 2. Also, I haven't determined the type yet, But in the photo of rpanin, it looks like a different type - this one has a strange sculpture of elytra

And about the view from the photo.. I think it's superfluous-there is a green one. Because there are many types of them, and when I looked at the pictures on the Internet, I didn't understand anything..

as for Liparus
, I got coronatus GZ in green, although germanus is also possible, but less likely.. Try it yourself in green - there is a lot associated with the underside-legs, shins, thighs..

coronatus-it seems to still have yellow pubescence on the pronotum. (This is my subjective opinion , coming from photos on the Internet) germanus-as an option
discarded .

16.03.2007 19:56, stierlyz

Liparus germanus is not present in Ukraine, as is Ocypus olens. Green doesn't roll for this group.

The second photo may show Cercopis sanquinea Geoffr. (Cercopis red-spotted) or a similar species. Only this is not a beetle, but an equidistant one.

Do you have any ideas about the first one? I thought it was one of the bedbugs...

17.03.2007 9:05, Dmitry Vlasov

And the first photo is Cassida murraei (in the Images of insects there is a topic on this species).

So it's not a bug at all. This is some kind of hymenopteran, its photo would be more correct for you to put in the topic by their definition. I almost don't understand these animals, but, in my amateur opinion, this is some kind of sawfly.

Dear Necrocephalus, Thanks for the tip! I'll go ask about this horror story in another topic!

And here, then, I'll ask about two nosy weevil beetles.

Who's that?"

exactly Liparus glabrirostris!

As for Leucosomus pedestris - I wouldn't risk it, the very dark pronotum is embarrassing, and it is also small.

19.03.2007 14:18, vitnaz

All the beetles were shot on the territory of the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region during the night shooting of butterflies-they flew to the light of a mercury lamp. Shooting time is the second half of summer (July-August). The dimensions are small - no more than 6 mm. Only the beetle (photos 130 DSC01279 and 130 DSC01353) had a size of about 1 cm.

Sitona: 2 upper - S. lepidus (=flavescens)
1 lower - S. hispidulus

Supplement: barbels and pipefish
basic information in the names.
brown sawyere-cursor? The strange coloring confuses me. The Carpathians. Ivano-Frankivsk region, Bystrica settlement. ~20. VII. 05
Armenian trubkovert. 07.06.97 District of the village. Gokht
Chlorophorus French. similar to figuratus, but there are no standing hairs on the pronotum
Molorchus, umbellatarum or kiesenwetteri? Or maybe something else. It's hard for me with them.

Trubkovert is similar to Rhynchites hungaricus

You need to specify the dimensions more precisely, then it will be visible. Most likely, Opatrum triste.

2 omar-I was in the same place where I recently photographed the black-bodied beetle that you identified as Opatrum triste. I took a picture of another one like it. Length 11 mm. So exactly Opatrum triste?

Elephant - 3 mm
Root barbel, 15 mm, elytra opaque, velvety.
T-shirt-about 25 mm
Chernotelka (which is not Opatrum) - 16 mm .
All beetles - Crimea, Feodosia, March 20, 2007.

It warmed up, and the beetle crawled in droves:-)

Yes, Opatrum triste. He's the one. The main feature is the base of the pronotum narrower than the base of the elytra. Sabulosum has the opposite effect. As already mentioned, it is also a Crimean endem. The second blackfin Tentiria nomas taurica, Crimean subspecies endem. It differs from the nominative subspecies, which is widespread throughout the south of Russia, by some textural features smile.gifof chitin. Elephant-I agree with KDG.

Beetle: The photo really sucks, and you can tell from itwall.gif, but beetle #3 is probably Agonum assimile. What color is the leaf beetle?

"Sloppy" photo-ground beetles from small pterostiches (such as P. strenuus, P. diligens) and bystryaks.
2Omar № 3 Agonum (Europhilus) Sp. , not A. assimile.
