? Clytra laeviuscula
30.04.2009. Kharkiv region, Volchansk.
In the beginning, the first met singly on (?) young pines, which somewhat confused me (the summer before last I came across them in the Crimea, but on willows and with larger rear spots). But then I met a hawthorn bush, on which there were two or three dozen of them... and everything seemed to fall into place. There was a strong wind, they probably just threw on the pines.

? Clytra laeviuscula

I only know that these are rare compared to those who have large spots
there were two or three dozen of them...(0_0)

can it be Clytra quadripunctata?

In "green" it is written that in laeviuscula prsp. smooth, in quadripunctata "clearly dotted, with a wide lateral border". If I understood correctly - C. quadripunctata...

Finally got there))
1) I only saw this species with wide rear thighs once in Kazan.
Who knows what it's called?
picture: post_29377_1241416649.jpg

2) There are still disagreements about this photo. Also Kazan. Something people began to doubt about Adalia decempunctata
picture: x_8cbbdad6.jpg

3) I also wanted to ask those who identified small dung beetles Aphodiinae - I collected them for several years in Tatarstan and for many years I can't identify some of them. I use IT ECSSSR T. II and binocular + microscope. Maybe it's outdated? Are there any more up-to-date determinants of lamellar whiskers? For example, I got Aphodius transvolgensis, but the range is described there so that this species is generally impossible in the forest zone. Plus, a few more copies "go" beyond the theses of the definition and "stick out" in the collection as Aphodius sensu stricto

Entalex, thank you for the hint of the subgenus, and the species is very similar to latsunosus, but do not tell me the Caucasian species of pterostichus, and how do you define karabus? and then there is one more Archiplectes

You're welcome! I don't have any keys for Myosodus. There are 2 copies-also from Adygea. lacunosus sp. the most common type. And lay out the archplects - let's see.
