  Output  P1200075.
1. If you get any specimens, especially males, you should catch every single one of them.
2. Kill with ethyl acetate in a stain filled with sawdust. They are necessary so that the hairs do not stick together, as well as to remove excess moisture from the insect.
3. Do not mount beetles.

If it's not too hard for you to do this, Mr. WAUGH, please catch the series, okay?
Sincerely,....

Thanks!
Nasty Epicometis beetles . We have three types of them –if you divide them by size .
In the photo, the smallest - there is a medium – large Epicometis hirta (photos can be viewed in ZINA ). Departure starts the same in size: first small, then large.
The problem is that the garden was processed after the photo shoot . I haven't seen any bronzes in two days. They cause great harm by eating pome flowers. Now the pear is blooming, apple trees will bloom in 5 days, perhaps bronzes will be activated. I don't know if there will be small views.

Sorry, VO, you are a great photographer, is it really difficult to post several photos of an elephant from different positions?

smile.gif General appearance of Leucomigus candidatus (Curculionidae), Only looking at the "portraits" - found differences .

Blaps sp. Further on this photo it will not go-IMHO.

06.05.2007 15:35, FILLIN

Does anyone breed them?I can give it back.I have about 7 of them. And dung beetles.3 шт

06.05.2007 17:28, omar

It is not difficult to maintain them. Feed like cockroaches, but it is also better to give sprouted sprouts of legumes and cereals, as well as fresh vegetables and fruits. Put some shelters where they can hide during the day.

06.05.2007 19:47, RippeR

No, it shouldn't be.

Leaf beetle is similar to Cryptocephalus octopunctatus (Scopoli, 1763)

yes, Bad Den said it right, from Ukraine

This is definitely some kind of Blaps. The bug is extremely smelly, and therefore comes across at every turn smile.gif

Isn't there a better picture of an elephant?

07.05.2007 23:14, RippeR

I repeat the request here for such a beetle: Intersno at least what kind of family in general, since the beetle is large, and I haven't seen any mentions anywhere, the size is about 1 cm (sizes vary, measured is not the largest..)
Recently caught this, love flowers, who is he?

Lagria hirta (Linnaeis, 1758), in
the family Lagriidae

No, it looks like Lagria, but it's not her. This beetle is more elongated and its whiskers are not at all similar to those of Lagria. Imho - this mustache, only what - I don't know.

Imho - this mustache, only what - I don't know.

Hardly a barbel, legs 5-5-4. Maybe a pollen eater (Alleculidae) of some kind... confused.gif

RippeR, after all, it would be necessary to run it on the 2nd volume, it will be easier to do it yourself wink.gif

Well, yes, I agree-apparently, not a mustache, but it looks like smile.gif
I join the council - the beetle is relatively large, it is a sin not to drive it away by the determinant. Please report the results, pzhlsta smile.gif
