Because unfortunately there was no reaction to my post about Coptocephala sp. I post other leaf beetles with the hope of getting confirmation or denial that they are all Plateumaris sericea. All Kharkiv, near the water or on the water... May-August.

15 mm is too big like for a microdera?

24.08.2010 11:01, sebastes

Slightly enlarged the image of the barbel. It's a pity, but a larger zoom leads to a loss of image quality.

This is Microdera deserta-the ratio of the 2nd and 3rd antenna numbers + heart-shaped prsp., widely indented seam and small size.

Good night. Please take a look at these three:
A ladybug flew into the apartment. This is the first time I've seen it like this.
"Dung beetle" with a very wrinkled chest... - 4mm 08.08.10 early in the morning on a very hot day on an irrigation lawn in the city center.
And bronzovka 25.07.10 in the dacha village on lilies. I described it once in words... - but I am confused that people here tell me that this is caucasica...

It is desirable to see the ventral side of the bronzer.

I suffer for the second day with staphylinids of the genus Bledius, despite the fact that both specimens are males. Maybe someone will tell you, or the address will give you specialists for the group (if there are any, then by gender). Both species are from the Moscow region, to the light.

I apologize for the quality, but unfortunately it doesn't work out better for me )

It really helped! smile.gif Do you see the tiny black spot on the tops of your beetles ' elytra? It clearly indicates that we are looking at a poplar leaf beetle (Chrysomela populi). Similar willow (Chrysomela saliceti) and aspen (Chrysomela tremulae) leaf eaters do not have this spot.
