Hello, my friends!

I ask for your help in identifying these beetles.

Both were photographed in the mountains of Uzbekistan.

The first, mating, apparently, kraeviki, but I would like to be more precise...

And this one on the burdock?

Hello, my friends!

I ask for your help in identifying these beetles.

A couple of Gonocerus sp.
But in the second photo, in my opinion, slepnyak, and not kraevnik

For Ldarro:
In the first photo - Gonocerus patellatus Kiritshenko, 1916 (Coreidae), and in the second - Rhopalus sp. (Rhopalidae), it is impossible to say more precisely because of the unfortunate angle.

And if it was open, then who would be? The bug is at home, running around in the terrarium. I can retake it.

This is either Notonecta (Notonecta) glauca glauca Linnaeus 1758, or Notonecta (Notonecta) viridis Delcourt 1909
Notonecta maculata is not found in Russia

Sungaya: It's definitely not Adelphocoris seticornis in the second picture. This is Deraeocoris, I believe olivaceus Fabr.

Mantispid: This is Emblethis denticollis Horv.

It might as well be Lygaeus simulans.

Help with the animals. mol.gif In the mass on the boxes of invasive Asclepias syriaca. Hungary, 06.09.2011.

The larvae described correspond in principle to Lygaeus sp.. But it is not clear which of Lygaeus.
Here is a fragment from the "Fauna of Ukraine" (! this is 1969) according to Lygaeus equestris, but Lygaeus simulans Deckert, 1985 was described in (!) 1985. That is, it is not clear who exactly the description concerned, most likely an integral characteristic of both.
picture: le.jpg

Apparently, no one has studied the differences between larvae and the ecology of the species, in any case, I have not found such information yet, maybe this plant would clarify the situation if the species was well studied. Both species are found mixed, the range is not fully understood, in any case, L. simulans in Ukraine from the Crimea to the Kharkiv region is precisely established. As far as I know, Triplaxxx was determined by museum copies - Crimea, Luhansk and (? in my opinion) Donetsk region. And since last summer I started collecting regularly on trips around the region (the situation was unclear) and now it is reliably known that in the Kharkiv region. it is definitely there.
We can say with a high degree of confidence that this is the case throughout Ukraine in Zap. Europe is definitely present (incl. Hungary). Of the small number of Lygaeus collected by me in September, by the way, L. simulans prevailed.

For example, I came across a completely red larva (I assume someone from Lygaeus).

picture: CRW_76390.jpg

You can probably try to determine the larvae as well as the imago (by the tubercle of the antennae), but I personally have seen very few larvae so far to draw any conclusions.

Well, the presence of a number of adults and larvae on the same plant does not give a 100% guarantee that this is exactly one species, although this is usually the case. But I have already broken off in similar situations more than once (when a bunch of larvae of one species, and among them the imago of another)...

By the way, on the tubercle of the antennae of the larva in the second picture, I see L. simulans. smile.gif

Thank you all! yes.gif
Unfortunately, the images are far from perfect. It was on the run during a field trip. I have reviewed (3) available images, but none of them have sufficient sharpness or the bug does not sit so well. weep.gif
And now a question (from teapot). What are they doing there? And is the damage to the plants of such animals great? And how long to sit like this (and eat...?) can they? Are they polyphages or what?
Sorry for the large number of questions.... shuffle.gif
