Saldidae is difficult to identify from photos. It is most likely Saldula saltatoria (Linnaeus, 1758), but it may also be S. c-album Fieb.

Please tell me, is this also a bug, or not a bug? Too small an animal.
Discovered on May 28 on cruciferous trees.
Maybe Tingis crispata?

Thank you very much! Can you tell me if it's an imago or a larva? I found on page 2 of this topic messages from 25.07.2007 16: 38/16: 45 that this is a larva. I take it it's a larva, since there are no wings.

Yes, it is a larva, probably of the last (V) instar.

Identifying horseflies from photos is quite difficult. Maybe Amplion, if it comes in, will tell you what kind of view it is. Try writing to them.

This is almost certainly Phytocoris, but it doesn't look much like longipennis. Although in general, phytocorys vary quite a lot in color ...

Family Lygaeidae, Rhyparochrominae. The species is not clear - perhaps the genus Rhyparochromus, or maybe some other close one. You can try to grow a larva on seeds (as an option-the same seeds).

29.07.2011 15:19, akulich-sibiria

unfortunately, the larvae have already died. And there are species that can cause harm to berries, say, or cultivated plants on a large scale?

30.07.2011 21:33, Guest

Well, many insects fall for overripe berries. But the ground-dwelling Rhyparochrominae do not rise above the grass, so the shrubs are not affected. Yes, and mass harm is not noticed like.
