Hello,

My name is Todd Ugine, I'm an entomologist at Cornell University in the USA and am trying to collect all of the North American species in the ladybird genus Coccinella. One species in particular, Coccinella fulgida, is very difficult for me to find, although I have learned that it also occurs in Siberia. I would like to use any specimens collected for molecular biology work, so it would need to be collected and stored in 95% Ethanol or another suitable solvent.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to be posting this request for help. If anyone can suggest a more appropriate forum, I would be grateful.

Hello Todd
I have some mounted ladybird material from Buryatia collected in 2006. Contact me if you need it.

Hi,

Thanks! I don't see any of the species I'm interested in. However, if you have identified C. fulgida in this collection, please let me know. It's a bit hard to make positive ID's from photos.

Todd
