Glasses and boxes for medicines

I ask for advice from those who work with drugs. Which slides (and cover glasses) should you choose and where is the best place to buy them? There are a lot of offers in the network, and the price spread is also present. Do you need a matte field on the side for writing, the ink is not erased? Is it worth taking the thinnest possible ones? What boxes are good for long-term storage of drugs and what prices should you focus on now?

If you do not write with a special wax pencil, then yes, then you need a field for writing. If you can do something special without a field, it won't be erased.
The estimated retail price of a box for 50, for example, glasses is 240-320 rubles. In the hands of a skewer, there are not very many options, but how many skewers-all are not particularly pleasant and comfortable, but they will probably pull on a four-piece. Here is for test tubes, there yes, there is a spread on the kachva. However, maybe I just didn't come across Italian boxes, but only Chinese or ours came across.
By the glass itself. I'm not an expert, but when I asked customers why they took these items instead of those, the answer was always at the level of "the first thing that caught my eye" or "why, there are others?" Apparently, the target audience is not the same...

Clearly, thank you, Asar! Apparently I will also stop at the option to take the first ones that come across in the place closest to the house

Alcohol markers are quickly erased on the frosted surface on slides, becoming completely unusable. A simple slide is well suited for making permanent preparations.

Cover glasses from different manufacturers do not differ significantly. You can take any of them. The only difference is the degree of purity. More than once I got on very dirty cover stelae (oily film, fine grains of sand, lint, etc.).

Recently, I came to the conclusion that there is no particular difference in slides. therefore, I now buy them directly in my city in the nearest educational center for 1 rub/piece. moreover, they are sold at retail, by the piece. In addition, I stopped signing drugs on glass, instead I just stick a self-adhesive label with the necessary information printed on it. and it is beautiful and you will not steam with these matte margins, special pencils, etc.

Thank you for your answers, it became clear

Drug boxes are a separate topic. Manufacturers don't make one type of box all the time. The design changes frequently. Therefore, it is better to buy boxes with a margin, if you like them and are suitable for work.
In any case, there are boxes with wide cells for glass, and there are narrow ones. If the preparations are flat, any type of box will do. If the preparations are bulky, then boxes with wide cells are needed. And if they are very voluminous, as in the photo, then there is one trick-to alternate drugs from your collection with drugs made from someone else's, borrowed for research, material. After returning the drug to the owner, the free space will allow the bulk drug to fit, which will actually take up both places.

I prefer large boxes (100 seats) with wide cells

For the signature, there is an eddining 780 paint marker - they write with nitro paint, they are erased only by scratching. There are also 6-8 colors.

barko: thank you for your detailed response. Is there any specific use of square or round coverslips, or is it a matter of taste? What do you think about the" contouring " of the cover glass - I saw that colleagues sometimes applied either paint or some kind of mastic along the edge of the cover glass, trying to ensure better, in terms of time, safety of the material (I didn't specify then, I didn't have to, now I can't quickly ask them).

Mykhaylo: I
Googled it, I'll try to find it in my city and test it. It's a pity, the thickness indicated for them is 0.8 mm, I want it to be thinner. How do they not fade over time? I am inclined, however, to the idea of printing a label and gluing, I don't know. How to glue, and whether it is better...

Comrades, why do I have so many questions - there is a need to look at a new group that requires the production of permanent drugs, but I have never done this, student. practice doesn't count - I want to do everything well and save the material.

The shape of the cover glass doesn't matter. You don't need to "outline" anything.
In what environment do you plan to place genitals in the manufacture of permanent drugs? What kind of insects are we talking about?

18.04.2015 15:17, Troglodit

We are talking about Sciaridae, small diptera. There are not only genitals, the body is flooded too, mosquitoes are not great. Wednesday-Canadian balsam (the author of the last major revision I know insists on it), or Handicap-Berlese, as it goes. Euparal will also try.
