It is a predator that hunts other invertebrate inhabitants of the reservoir, they are mainly insects, mainly mosquito larvae, including malarial ones. Plavunets is a great flyer. After the reservoir dries up, it is not difficult for him to move to the neighboring one. It flies into the light at night. The picture was taken in the Astrakhan region.
