Double-spotted malashka-Malachius bipustulatus, Malachius, Melyridae

Family of MALASHKI (Melyridae).
Small (up to 7 mm) beetles with soft, weakly chitinized nadcr. Larvae live in the surface layer of the soil, in fallen leaves, under the bark, feed on larvae and testicles of insects, corpses of invertebrates; beetles are often found on flowers; predators. At least 250 species.
The genus Malachius contains about 60 species.

Beetles live on grassy vegetation and shrubs, often found on flowers, where they feed on pollen. Some species damage the flowers of cultivated plants. The larvae attack aphids and other small insects. In some species, the larvae live in the passages of bark beetles and grinders, eating the owners of these apartments.
