"Once such a binge went."..

Accordingly, too, Bartels.
I don't remember the label, the beetles, alas, are in another city, both from the North Caucasus, both were caught not by me.
The photo is certainly not so hot, I do not own scanography, sorry.

Unfortunately, at least some decent photo of the octopunctatus from the collection was not at hand...

Have you ever seen gnorimus variabilis in Transcarpathia?

01.02.2007 19:22, Mikhail F. Bagaturov

Greetings!

No, for 4 years I have never come across it, and I'm not sure that it is known for the former USSR (I don't remember any references in the literature)...
Osmoderma eremita came across, if you go through this group further...

Osmoderma eremita-I wonder where and how?

And for the former gnorimus variabilis is known. They sent it to me recently . I don't remember exactly ,like from Tula. But I would like to catch samoma.

I don't really remember, but I have a "feeling" that something is wrong with the view definition... either you or I have..
As far as I know, I also have a specimen of Gnorimus octopunctatus from Transcarpathia in my collection. Apparently, I caught it about 15 years ago in the Gorky region, and my friends caught it in the Vladimir region.
It may also happen that these are synonyms...

Although I honestly believed that there are only 5 species in the fauna of the USSR:
Far Eastern subopacus,
Talysh subcostatus,
Caucasian Bartels,
Carpathian nobilis,
European ostopunctatus...

BUT! Google, my friend, suggested: Gnorimus variabilis (L.) (=octopunctatus F.), so these are really synonyms and we are talking about the same species (http://eco.ulstu.ru/RedBook/redbook/docs/03-2.htm).

Then I don't really understand what is in this case this:
http://www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/vie...mus_variabi.jpg
So in the same Uzhgorod district, in the vicinity of the Nevitsky castle, only one was caught, cutting down, on wood.

We also caught octopunctatus once in nature reserves, but no one else saw it.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, G. octopunctatus is regularly found on hogweed inflorescences in the area of the UNN biostation (St. Pustyn village)

Clearly, it would be interesting to have a look at them.
I've never been in the Vetluga floodplain in Krasnobakovsky district in 2 seasons...
I didn't collect any more insects in the Gorky province.

02.02.2007 14:15, Bad Den

I'll post a photo in the eveningsmile.gif
From the north of the region (Semenov, Krasnye Baki and beyond) I never came across it, but it is possible to eat it in the Kilemarsky Nature Reserve.

requires some revision. It is possible that in Armenia there is a population of G.armeniacusFald., hitherto known only from Turkey. A year ago, I had a chance to analyze the fees of one merchant from entomology, and on one cotton wool there were 3 males and 1 female of these same Gnorimus. I, then, regretted $ 3 apiece, however, maybe correctly. Although it is a pity that they went to bursa...
So, by all external signs, they were really very close to G.armeniacus....
Sincerely,.....

"Carpathian nobilis" - as if not quite Carpathian. There is also one in Podillya.Although it is geographically close.

I found Gnorimus at my house yesterday. Interestingly, it was hatched from the pine dust in which I collected larvae last year.

Gentlemen, in the Fauna of the USSR of Medvedev, it is said that the northern limit of the range of Gnorimus octopunctatus (=variabilis) reaches Leningrad, and has anyone found it in the Leningrad region or in the Pskov region?
Someone can write me the northernmost find of this species.
sincerely.

If it is still relevant, then there are finds from northern Latvia (I can give you the coordinates). The species is also found in the Vitebsk region of Belarus.
