there was a question, the question is removed, - strongly doubted...sorrybeer.gif.
as a result of doubts about conorinuses, I found out that my ex.most likely Chromonotus menetriesi Fst. (as if close, on nek. related to the genera Glebius and Entymetopus)
I haven't been here in a long time, thank you all!)

Apparently it is Bothynoderes affinis (Schrank, 1781)?

Well, I decided to post this handsome guy here (length with a head tube 48mm.)
Cyrtotrachelus sp.
It was suggested earlier in the topic that it is Cyrtotrachelus longimanus (Fabricius, 1775), but nevertheless questions still remain confused.gif
N. B. It can also be Cyrtotrachelus buqueti Guérin-Méneville, 1844 or Cyrtotrachelus dux Boheman in Schönherr, 1845? Or someone else from "this opera". In short, it is not clear (
Maybe here somehow the question will be clarified faster?

This one (right, 43 mm) was sold to me as Cyrtotrachelus longimanus (Fabricius, 1775), China, prov. Sichuan, Muchuan County, July 2010, front right shin is somewhat crippled.
Somehow they are not very correlated with the left (from Vasily)...

By the way, does anyone have experience in preserving the bright (red, orange) color of similar tubeflies? Even those that I took myself - quickly turned cloudy and dark(((

It's easier with China. There are only 5 species of this genus. Specifically for Sichuan, two types are indicated - this is C. buquetii spp. buquetii Guérin-Méneville, 1844 и C. thompsoni Aionso-Zarazaga & Lyal, 1999 (= longimamis Fabricius, 1775)

For the definition, you can use this work of Heller:
http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/11...ge/383/mode/1up

It is of course old and you need to check synonymy. And also that longimamis in the old sense is not longimamis in the modern sense.

Please specify if possible: Kharkiv region May. I apologize for the quality of the photo, but there is no other one yet. In the photo, I could not convey the mother-of-pearl shine of light inserts. At different angles, they turn either golden or silver. The size is 3mm. Thanks!

Good evening,

It seems to me that it is Polydrusus picus (Fabricius, 1792b)

Best regards,

Great pictures, thank you! They only decorate the theme.
As for the fact that Sitophilus oryzae is not a weevil (elephant) - in the sense that it does not belong to the Curculionidae proper, but to another family-Dryophthoridae, then there are already representatives of Dryophthoridae before you. Here, for example: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=1537090 , and here is: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=1537612
So, don't worry: given the dubious need to open a special topic for Dryophthoridae, it's okay.
