Handsome guy! Like varnished!

And I would also like to know what (in the sense of a camera or scanner) this wonderful picture was taken? smile.gif

As far as I remember, through a microscope, as K. V. Makarov Does

Thank you all for the acknowledgements! My optical system, in general, is the same as that of K. V. Makarov and KDG. My experience of using MBS, unfortunately, is negative.. I must have a bad copy.
A year ago, already desperate, since it was unrealistic to buy a watering can (at least 5 thousand euros and an increase of only 60X), I came across a certain domestic brand of MS. After that, it turned out that this is an outsourced version of the Chinese Wuzhou binocular. Which is what I bought MC-2 Z00M var. 2CR(=Wuzhou XTL-3400E), it has a special tube for photofeeds (trinocular) which is undoubtedly convenient. My camera is almost the same as Kirill Makarov's Canon S50. it is the one that comes in the original delivery from Leika. For Canon, there is a free program RemoteCapture 2.4 to work with the camera from a computer, and you do not need to hover and stare at the tiny screen. The program has a lot of settings and they allow you to greatly facilitate and speed up the process. There is also a paid PSRemote prog (there are codes on the network) where all functions are presented in a more user-friendly form and there is something new.
The adapter is homemade, made of cardboard and plastic (since the camera is lying horizontally, and not at an angle, it's easier to make it. I glue the layers together not manually, but automatically in the Helicon focus prog, it works perfectly.
Light is very important for shooting, especially small objects. The principles of working with paper filters are very well shown on the page http://hymenoptera.tamu.edu/imaging/specimen_setup.html
For good light, you need a fiber-optic illuminator to break through the paper filter.
Without Photoshop anywhere, I try to replace the background (either gray or white)

Um, a watering can for 5000 euros... Viktor, you are from Moscow, here you can buy Zeiss native German almost three times cheaper. Already prepared for photo shoots. And a new one. x 250

thank you for the description of the photo processes, but I would like to hear more about the beetle.

See Coleopterologists, atlas of palpable insects.

I would like it from the mouth of the caught, with all the experiences smile.gif

Sounds good! wink.gif Sorry it's a little late... However, I do not regret much, mine costs an order of magnitude less, and the quality is quite decent.

Anyone who wants to catch the feelers-sieves with oilcloths in the bag-and go ahead. Moreover, they are caught all year round.

And in more detail, if possible. I really want to try it, but I haven't figured out how yet.

The method of working with sieves is described in more detail in the section "Winter collection of insects". At the request of those who wish, I can throw in bibliographic references. And you can trot out the feelers anywhere - from bedding, dust, piles of hay, moss, etc. Only until you sift a few cubic meters, you will not understand the method.
