The beetle, as far as I know, is infrequent. It is also found in Europe. But I can't give you the exact area. In my opinion, it develops in oak. Within two days, I found 3 specimens, but all females. And caught them all in the air with a net. On flowers, trunks have not met even once. frown.gif I think full info can be obtained from Cerambyx or KDG.

the larva lives on the roots of oak, the imago seems to be on the flowers of shrubs and trees. It doesn't occur often.I didn't catch it myself. The collection includes items from the Astrakhan, Volgograd and Belgorod regions.

Exactly on the roots, and not in them?

Exactly on the roots, and not in them?

"...Larvae always in deep roots (in dead or dying, sometimes rather fresh roots of old trees) not even approaching the ground level.
Fligt June-july, adults usually not on flowers, can be often found on the vegetation arround the host trees." Svacha, Danilevsky, 1988
