Well, if you consider that the species from the same genus Phragmatobia fuliginosa is nocturnal, then luctifera should be nocturnal, although I myself have never seen them, unlike fuliginosa.

"To mikee: Maybe I should wash it in the gas station ? It'll be nicer.

Unfortunately, I don't own the technology. Can you tell me? And will it help? You don't have to wait for miracles anyway....."

I asked myself - and answer for myself: I wash fat in purified gasoline, which is called nefras GASOLINE "GALOSHA" - manufacturer Ryazan.
Almost always helped, the main thing is not to wait for years. I haven't tried any other means.
It is interesting that butterflies, when I forget, lie in it for weeks.
P.S. after the end of the degreasing process, put the butterfly in fresh gasoline for some time, because there may be some traces of fat on the wings. While drying, gently blot the wings and abdomen with white paper.

[...butterflies with yellow hind wings also fly . I've never seen it together with the " red " form

So there are "red" and "yellow" populations in the Caucasus, right? Are they somehow separated by height?

The last one today is Callimorpha philippsi (or dominula philippsi).

They write differently, so I can't say for sure what the status is

Wait, I've made up my mind.
I would like to learn more about the genus Doddia

18.12.2007 23:49, Grigory Grigoryev

And I got right into the "top ten": I gave all the copies (I don't remember if they were 4 or 5 types) to V. S. Murzin.. Here's the story ..... I don't have anything right now.

19.12.2007 0:07, Pavel Morozov

Ouch.
I freeze in deep pardon. And then, you can, well, let's say, the genus Carcinopyga?

Ilya, well, here's about the fauna of the former USSR.

19.12.2007 11:13, Ilia Ustiantcev

Oh, sorry...

28.12.2007 22:19, Grigory Grigoryev

This is the genus Carcinopyga. Here, I had to strain myself ...

According to Dubatolov, there are 3 species of this genus in the former USSR. Someone considers C. lindti a subspecies of C. proserpina, V. V. Dubatolov considers it a good species.
At least, C. lindti is quite diverse in color. I offer you 2 males: one very pale, the second, on the contrary, bright and contrasting

male 1-60 km SE of Tashkent Chatkal zap-k October 08, 1992
male 2-North T-Shan Chatkal hr. Arslan-bob July 25, 1981
female-Uzbekistan Chimgan August 28, 1987

and,accordingly,
C. proserpina-Zap Pamir Rushan July 30, 1995
(butterflies with a darker and monotonous pattern of the forewing, in contrast to C. lindti).

What remains is C. gurkoi, described only in 1997. I was told that butterflies fly late at night. And everyone who came to the Pamirs usually had to get up very early to go upstairs, so by the time of summer, even if the lamp was turned on, everyone was already asleep ... The butterfly is smaller in size than the previous 2 species.

male Pamir Khorog August 10, 1990

Euplagia splendidior. I don't think there was one. In Transcaucasia, along the valleys, in some places it is more common than Hera (under one spreading walnut tree in the Khosrov gorge I counted more than 50...). It is well distinguished by a metallic green pattern of P. kr. and something else...

I add a flattened ex. Eupladia splendidor and, for comparison, E. quadripunctaria

Indeed, in the habitats of Eupladia splendidor there are usually many-inside the thorny bushes, if you tap on the trunks, these beauties fly by the dozens. The most interesting thing is that they quickly settle in new places, but do not fly out in the sun in hot weather.
